River City Ransom 2 Gives WiiWare a Wallop this Summer

Beat it
Last week we shared news that River City Ransom 2 had been announced, but at the time it was still up in the air whether the game would come to WiiWare. Will it? Won't it? It will, says Miracle Kidz.
Andriasang pegs the game for a release on WiiWare this summer, though that's likely to be a Japanese release only at this stage, so don't expect a localised version this side of Autumn.
This isn't the only Kunio-kun game coming to WiiWare either, as Super Dodge Ball is coming in May. Rejoice, fans of the hot-blooded tough guy.
If you want to take on the mean streets of River City right now, you can check out our River City Ransom review based on the Virtual Console release.

All right! I'm already more than ready to punch in some street gang faces!
Even if it takes a while to localize it.

But first, I need to buy a cream puff, to get stronger
I love the River City Ransom game for the GBA.
you can make your own fighter, with new fighting moves, and powers.

Oh I hope this comes statewide. RCR was one of my favorite NES games I still play it every now and again on the VC. Maybe this time next year we might see it here in the US crosses fingers

Best news I've heard all day. Hope they come up with a cool art style to fit the game. Maybe the characters will actually barf this time, instead of just saying it!

Great news. Why can't Nintendo announce more Wiiware titles and give us some concrete release dates besides summer?
#13
SilverBaretta said:
@XCWarrior: Probably because it's mainly not up to Nintendo to decide the release dates of games they have no affiliation with (besides with the WiiWare service itself).

Finally, we'll get just the second beat-'em-up game on WiiWare after Pokémon Rumble! It such a shame that this excellent genre receives such little respect anymore, especially with the more new-school gamers who don't like any "repetativeness" in their video games no matter how fun those repetative actions are.

They must release it in the west right? There's such a big following over here.
And it's not like it's a retail release, it won't cost them hardly anything to bring to another region I would have thought.
