No, some GBC games have been on the 3DS eShop for quite some time, so buy them there.

The Wii U eShop will inevitably get more SNES, Sega Genesis, and Nintendo 64 games, though.

I have to agree with everyone else here in that I dont want to see GBC games come to the Wii U. Yeah GBA will be coming to the Wii U but honestly I dont even like that idea if anything they should be on the 3DS VC. Still I will probably get them especially if one piques my interest, but yeah they should leave handheld on the 3DS VC and home consoles on the Wii U VC.

Since Wii U is half a handheld, I'd buy all those GB /GBC / GBA / GG games on Wii U VC.

They should just have a unified shop and allow me to play SNES games on the 3DS and GBC games on the Wii U if I want to. I'd buy so many more VC games if they did this.

No. I'm not even happy about GBA games being on the Wii U eShop. The 3DS VC is running out of new titles that arent NES, and the Wii U has libraries full of games for other systems for the VC.

Or if I have to buy the other version for a buck. Whatever, nickel and dime me if you must but why would I pay for the same game two or three times just to have it on different systems? Please give me a good reason to not just download it on my tablet instead.

i think gba on wii u is a grand idea. playing gba on big screen is pretty much like playing snes games that werent on snes
but on big screen

Isn't anyone else wondering just how ugly these GBA games will look on our huge HD tvs? Gamboy games already look not so great when stretched to fit the original 3DS!

I'd think SNES games on the 3DS would be a better fit than GBC on Wii U.

I would rather see all of Sega's systems added to the VC.

I don't have a 3DS, I had a DS, then a DSi, then I realized they were making them to often and stopped buying them XD

Lucky for me I still have my Gameboy Color, but really, think about the people who don't...poor them...

This thread is about a month and a half old. However, I agree with the fact that if you bought a game such as Metroid on the Wii VC, then you should be able to download them for free on the 3DS and Wii U. If it's impossible for the Wii, then at least do it for the Wii U and 3DS, plus all of the future Nintendo generations. I would like to see the 3DS get as far as the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy Advance since the Nintendo DS was basically a portable Nintendo 64 only with a touch screen and XY buttons. For the Wii U, I would be fine if it could play GBA Games. I would love to play Gamecube games on my Wii U, though.

Still, the Wii U should have everything up to the sixth generation except for the PlayStation, PlayStation 2 and XBox, of course. The 3DS should be able to play all games up to the fourth generation, plus the Neo Geo Pocket Color, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, and Nintendo 64. Could you imagine Mario Kart 64, GoldenEye 007, or Donkey Kong 64 on the 3DS?

Since Nintendo have recently stated they moved on from releasing GB and GBC games on 3DS VC, they should release GB and GBC games on Wii U. Preferably any game you have already downloaded on 3DS VC would be free to download on Wii U.
