So it's been three years now since Nintendo's console phenomena got gamers off the couch and into the game, thanks mostly in part to the revolution that was the Wii Remote!

So now that you've seen the Wii in action for three years, what was your best Wii moment? Was it beating the final boss of a game, a game-night, downloading/beating your first VC/WiiWare game, getting your first taste of Wii elbow from Wii Sports (like I did, thanks to Bowling) or just the fact that you stood in line on launch day to get it! Anything's good here!

My best moments: It was Christmas 2006, my mom visited my guardian and I in Jamaica and she opened up the suitcase with the Wii inside and I was like holy ****! I opened the box (carefully), grabbed the Wii Remote and I circled the neighbourhood with it! I spent the night playing Wii Sports with my neighbours. They were amazed by tech, even my family. Other days and nights, I would be alone playing Twilight Princess. The best family moment was when I was playing Trauma Center and my mom (who's a real nurse) watched me do an operation. She tried and she was a natural! Was awesome.

(sigh) Good times....

So what do you gotta say?

Mine had to be the day Super Smash Bros. Brawl was released. I felt like crap, had a cold or something. Regardless, I went down to Best Buy, picked up my copy, went home, and played it all day. Had Burger King for dinner too. It was a pretty good day.

Oh, there're too many to list. Beating MP3, some epic battles in MKWii, totally pwning the enemy in BWii... it's all awesome.

Sleepless nights with Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition and No More Heroes. Also had Cheetos and Jones Soda on the side.
Finishing Super Mario Galaxy.

Thanks, Des.

This is why posting threads from mobile phones bite most of the time. Darn doubles!

The day I got my Wii, and the day my cousin found out they had some stocked at Wal-Mart. I was waiting in the car for 'im, and he came running out saying, "They got some in! But only a few left!" He had to rush home and grab his money, then rush back up to the store. He barely managed to get one.

i got my wii about 3 months after brawl came out (yes thats how i measure when i buy things, how late after brawl was realized was it) and i opened it up and hurrah! i remember that having the wii felt so strange to me. I was behind on all technolgies up to this point (i got my gamecube in 2004, ds in 2007, and my computer was a hand-me-down 1999 model) so feeling more up to date was a weird feeling.

but my best memory was undeniably when my friend invited me over the day brawl came out and we played the crap out of it

Ah. The Wii...
The happiest day of my life was last Christmas, I woke up at like 8 in the morning, rushed downstairs and nearly puked when I saw that shiny, white box with the picture of pure awesomeness on the front.
I wanted to scream, but my little bro was still asleep.

The first time I played Mario Kart. I was at my friend's apt., and we were all wasted. I knew I had to buy one myself.

I am way too lazy to think of something clever.

My favorite things about the Wii are:
The interactivity- takes many games to a whole new level
Physically challenging games- makes for fun exercise
The Virtual Console- classic games played the way they should, and many I missed out on or have lost
Super Paper Mario- combines RPG elements with retro sidescroller gameplay
Super Smash Bros. Brawl- seemingly endless challenges and unlockables and the SSE is incredibly complex

best moments ey?

Christmas 2006 setting it up with the old farts muttering under their breath stuff like "is that one of those game thingos?" with absolutely no understanding what it was. It sat while we had lunch downloading updates, the internet channel, the weather channel on my then 256k connection. After lunch and for the next few hours we did nothing but play Wii Sports as a whole family with absolutely zero regard for how we looked doing it. The next day we regretted it but I think we played it pretty much non-stop for the next two weeks. Awesome fun.

Christmas 2007. My parents got my niece a Wii a few days before Christmas (because my brother was away for Christmas). The look on her face was priceless! I also gifted Kirby's Adventure on Christmas eve so she could get it Christmas morning.

Same Christmas again, 2007. Super Mario Galaxy. I played it for the first time while my niece was over on Christmas day and there was so much energy in the room you could almost hear the joy. Easily the best time I have had with the Wii by far.

Since then nothing has come close. I think New SMB Wii has a lot of potential for those sort of moments but I haven't had a chance to try it much outside of the single player modes. The fact that my niece now has Animal Crossing + Wii Speak and is sending me voice messages every now and then is pretty cool but. Oh, giving my oblivious brother the controller with Bit Trip Beat and only saying "its kinda like Pong, you twist the remote"...

For me it was the multiplayer I had yesterday playing NSMBW, there were three of us playing and it just went off. I played again with another friend today but he was pathetic lol, has no idea how to play anything that ain't a fps.

Launch night and the month that followed. Wii Sports and Twilight Princess, they were worth the wait, for me at least.

Galaxy is the only high point that has come close since, and even that was nothing compared to those early weeks when everybody was hunting for Wii's, whilst I was lost in Hyrule. <3

I'm gonna have to say the launch of SSBB. The hype machine had basically swallowed me hole (and got bad indigestion ). I could only think about SSBB. And on the day of the launch, after I woke up, I found out that one of my relatives had already got it and put it where I sat at the dining room table! Too say the least, I was very, very happy.

It was the moment I got my Wii online. It made a Wii from a decent to a great system that is today. I spent many hours online with Mario Kart Wii.

It was June 16, 2008 in case you're wondering.
