Topic: The Unofficial Kirby Wii Discussion Thread

I remember getting in this stupid argument with a guy who kept saying Kirby Wii is cancelled and all that. I kept telling him it was continually delayed, and that the Subspace Emmisary mode in Smash Bros. does not = Kirby Wii's demise. He must feel really stupid now.

Anyhow, I'm glad this game has a solid release date. I remember the trailer back in 2005 when this game was coming on GCN, then moved to Wii, news died down, resurfaces in Nintendo Power magazine a few times, dies out again, new screenshots surfaces in 2007, dies out again, Kirby's Epic Yarn revealed, then bam. It's back.

Seems like they kept the new Water ability but removed Kirby Super Star-style of summoning characters. At least it's still 4 players.

I like robot mecha Dedede is in this game. We need more robotic penguin bosses in video games.

Actually, the game reminds me more of Kirby 64, a game which I loved to death and is one of my favorite games in the series. Either way, I'm super-pleased about this and now it's just a waiting game.

Looks like this year Wii get both a Traditional Kirby game and a not-traditional-but-still-awesome-Kirby-game.

I also really hope the soundtrack can be as awesome as some of the older games, because I've really missed Kirby platformers consistently having some of my favorite video game music (sorry, not a huge fan of Epic Yarn's music).

Yeah, I like it. This is the first time I've been excited for a Kirby game since ever.

Epic Yarn came out last year Mickeymac (and previous discussions seems to hint it would be the only platformer you could ever complete )

I'm ready for some DeDeDe! Been wanting to use him ever since Crystal Shards.

I'm excited for this game, but it's not a must buy for me yet. More of a Gamefly kinda thing. The novelty of it is the 4 player action; it undoubtably will be local only with no online, and since I don't have 3 other gamers handy... well, ever ... I don't see a reason to pay 55 bucks for it out the gate.

If I trade in some stuff at Gamestop I can have 52 bucks... should I get Brawl which I don't have yet or Pre-Order Kirby? Depends if Kirby comes out soon though... how soon can it come?
