Just got my issue of Nintendo Power and within the first few pages there's a POWER UP! feature on Pikmin 2 coming to Wii. It doesn't say if it'll be under the "New Play Control!" title the past rereleases were, but it is definitely coming.

That's great news!! I have been thinking about getting 2 off of ebay for the GC (it's a little pricey though) since the only time I've played it was when I rented it years ago, but now I won't have to!.
Played through the first one again last summer (new play controls) just for the fun of it. Glad I finally get to play some more of 2, with updated controls too!

I've been wanting to play this for quite some time. But I wasn't about to get a Gamecube or import one to play it. But at last I have my chance! Undoubtedly NoA did this to start the hype for Pikmin 3, which I also can't wait to see at E3.

Biggest Smash Bros. and Pikmin fan on NL!

Pikmin fact of the week: The Pearly Clamclamps in Pikmin 1 can still attack and eat Pikmin even after being defeated. They are the only creatures in the game able to do so.

This is great! I've been looking towards this for awhile now. The first one was great as it came out with Luigi's mansion as well.

Does the sequel have the "don't stay on the planet more than 30 days" scenario?

No, you have an infinite amount of time. The day/night system is still present, though.

The day when most people get active is the day zombies roam...but there should be a thousand ways to kill them to make life more easy, but if you become one...expect a serious case of the munchies.

Cool, now I don't have to drop $60+ on a used GameCube copy.

Probably not, wii controls and the cheaper price tag in Comparison to the GCN version seals the deal for me. B-)

i never thought this would actually reach NA, seeing as Nintendo gave up on the NPC! line years ago. Now my NPC! Pikmin case won't be lonely anymore :D

Does the story continue from the first game or will I understand it without having played the first one?

Eh, you'll be fine....the game pretty much explains what happens in the first game in like...20 seconds or something, lol.

Looks like Nintendo is trying to keep the Wii alive. Well that's good, more quality games is always good.

I prefer Excite Truck. But yeah.
