Actually Joetherocker hit it, no across the board other than Rosalina being in it. I found it next to the DS one to be the worst of the lot and the series on the whole has been on a downhill spiral since the GBA title. This one and the DS game were the first Mario Karts I could find so little fun in I sold them off. I didn't like the bikes or the handling let alone forced use, the courses mostly were boring to me too, and the online did nothing for me. And if someones asks the DS one I hated most due to the rigged upper CC AI with AI in 1st, you in 2nd, and cars 3-8 only beating on you which is not a challenge it's abuse, the snaking and other bs hacks used online, and well that's it as the courses were a mix of excellenet to decent. Honestly at this rate I may just not buy the 3DS title when it appears, or at the least I'll wait and buy it used so if it sucks I can get my money back.

So you're saying that unfairly-hard CPU AI and extraordinarily bad track designs in the originals doesn't also ruin the game?

For me, the game was ruined by the fact that it feels like a contest of who can get the best items. I know that's been a trend in the series since MK64, but I felt like Mario Kart Wii took it to the point where the actual racing hardly even matters. That's why I love SMK.
There's no such thing as a best game ever made since everybody has different tastes. Amount of game play and features wise it's the best in the series, but the game play is so broken it's just too annoying.
