Other than Super Wii Entertainment System, I would like the name t*Nintendo Eclipse.* Just like an eclipse, some information can be obscured from others or only viewed with the Wii U controller.

I don't care about the name, but my first pick would be: Revolution, Riivolution(for sake of continuity) or the Super Wii. Nintendo Revolution! Now you're playing with REVOLUTIONARY power!
I think Nintendo should pre-empt Sony and call it the Playstation 4, that'll (star)fox 'em!

How about the Nintendo Ntense? .... I saw Waveboy put that in a comment and liked it. They could bring back the get N or get out slogan. I loved that slogan so much.

If they're losing market to people genuinely getting confused about the system and not doing enough research then you sohuld be happy - it just means your fellow online multiplayer base for the console games will be more competent and able to distinguish between named products. Also kudos to Pixelman - who's suggestion was great none the less.
Don't forget our existing Wii Remotes are going to work in conjunction with the Wii U. If you think consumers will be confused by the name Wii U, imagine how confused they'll be shopping for old Wii Remotes to use with their shiny new Nintendo "Revolution". Wii U Wii 2 Wii Stream Super Wii Wiivolution Wii Entertainment System Whatever Nintendo decides, the final name will probably have Wii in it somewhere.

Seriously though, I'm satisfied with the Wii U name 'cause I'll buy the thing regardless. I guess there are both pros and cons for dumping the Wii name...
Some of my 'Wii' names:
Wii II (Roman numerals make it more classy!) Wii Poiesis ('Poiesis' means making or creating - which could help emphasise the tablet) Wii Infinite (as in, the tablet brings infinite possibilities) Wii Ion (makes it sound tough AND advanced!) Wii Starlight (I dunno, I just thought of it...it just sounds whimsical) Wii Cosmos (emphasises the 'connection' aspect i.e. build your universe with the Nintendo Network and the new controller)
