On my connection with the Wii U i can download a 5GB file in one hour or less, so it'll take between 3 and 5 hours for Xenoblade X to download, then another to install.

It will almost certainly be available for pre-load anyway. I think download speeds are going to be a non-issue.

Bandwidth caps will be an issue though, if you live in Canuckistan, land of rationed internet.

Lucky bugger. It took me about 3 days to download the FF15 demo on my PS4.

Will totally play with Japanese voices if included. The English voice acting grated on my ears in Xenoblade Chronicles, and I will be only too glad to be able to use Japanese voices again this time around.

@SMEXIZELDAMAN: You might want to watch some of the early footage of the English build of the game! The VA is actually really good by localized JRPG standards.

So does anyone else wish they'd gone with the colour pallette they used for this render instead of the actual one they went with? Looks much more like the original.

I never played xenoblade. Should I try to play it before the new one, is this like Mass Effect where the story is intertwined? I'm not much for RPG but I really do like open world gaming so I do have interest in getting it when it arrives.

They've said the games are unconnected.

Well, I should be able to get X if I trade in a game. Was planning on trading in Xenoblade 3D, but...I need to beat that game first. lol
That reminds me, does the NA eShop have Xenoblade yet? Wouldn't mind seeing what it looks like on my TV.

I did not expect Nintendo of America to release the data packs early. What a pleasantly smart and simple thing to do. Maybe they're learning.

In other news, my hard drive is 10 gigs readier than ever.

I had to delete a ton of software but I finally was able to free up enough gigs to download all 4 data packs.
