Topic: Super Smash Bros. for Wii U - OT

Already found a nice small combo with Mewtwo, will see how it works with others later.

I'm okay with Roy. Ryu not so much. I know he's a capcom property but still, feels out of place to me. Some could argue about solid snake but they made it work surprisingly well. His style just wouldn't work well, other than the hadouken being the neutral B or something.

He's easy to launch because he's an light weight character. Like Ness for example.
The problem with strong throws is that people tend to use throws very very often. It's no fun anymore. lol
Other characters are in a disadvantage I'd say. He's just more easy to use.

But I have to say, you really notice that Mewtwo wasn't part of the main development. He feels a little different than other character in his core. But that can just be me. ^^

I can't redeem the code it keeps telling me "the download code you entered can only be redeemed within the relevant software title.It cannot be redeemed in the Eshop" WTF?

If you are trying to redeem the 3DS code you must go in the in game eshop, just turn on smash 3DS, go to the digital store and redeem the code in there.

Yuck, the character select screen on the U version is now a mess...Link is away from the other Zelda characters, Kirby is away from the other Kirby characters, I don't know why Mewtwo couldn't be placed by Greninja, would be nice if the clones get put with their allies as well.

Yea. You have to redeem the code in the game.
When in the menu you have to press Y or X not sure.. But it's the Notice thing, it has the DLC shop in it now. ^^

So I'm getting that he's very strong, but also very easy to kill... I guess that's balance?

Mewtwo downloaded. Very strong, but little slow.

Oh no... I'm having huge problems trying to download Mewtwo on the Wii U! My brother tried to redeem the code, but apparently it failed due to the traffic. Now I'm trying to redeem the code... and it says the code has already been redeemed. And now I can't even access the eShop.
This is silly....

This traffic is to be expected. Not trying to download Mewtwo today or tomorrow.maybe this weekend. In the meantime I'll gladly face mewtwo players online.

Not sure what to think about Mewtwo. He's an interesting character. He can dodge once after using his Up Special. His Smash attacks are all very powerful. He can even send projectiles back like the villager. He's also faster than I expected. But his down special is hardly ever useful in an intense match. His smash attacks seem pretty easy to dodge and anticipate.

He's about what I expected. It's fun to have a new character but I expect the novelty will wear off after today for myself.

I had no issues with the update or Mewtwo, so yay.

Gamefaqs is a mess right now. Smashboards is all over the place. Gamefaqs posters are already talking about how Mewtwo is bottom tier, while Smashboards has a lot of arguing. Its all extremes. One group will talk about how over powered he is, and another how terrible he is. This was always going to be a bit of a mess right?

Im sure Mewtwo will get updated like all of the other characters.

No, Tournaments and Miiverse stage are still MIA. Probably an E3 feature I'd guess.

Ok, so I managed to grab Mewtwo*. He's strong, but a little bit... slow. And his jumps throw me off sometimes.
I'm surprised not more people have talked about Mewtwo's spiking skills. EXCELLENT! Effective and easy to pull off.

*Long strory short, the server traffic confused me and I was thinking the download code had been lost into the dark abyss of the internet...

Eh, he seems fine to me...people were saying he needed to be fixed or something in Melee anyways. That said, Diddy is still annoying as ever. (recorded a video, uploading it soon-ish, lol)
