They want us to form a movement but they won't give us a chance to actually purchase the game. Welp no prob...If I don't get a choice I won't buy it on my other systems either.

If it was interesting enough for me to get at a later date, it's still okay. I'll just use the money I would have spent on that (and getting peripherals) to get Zelda U, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Splatoon, Starfox, and other Wii U titles.
I own a PS1, GBA, GBA SP, Wii (GCN), 360, 3DS, PC (Laptop), Wii U, and PS4.
I used to own a GBC, PS2, and DS Lite
That's fair. And at least a Wii U version isn't completely out of the question.
I have no interest in RB, but it'd still be nice to get a Wii U version eventually. Props to Harmonix for telling the truth and not giving some lame excuse.
For a game with peripherals I guess I get it though. There is a lot of manufacturing cost to do this kind of game and I can imagine it would cost a lot more to build dedicated Wii U equipment when you have to make so much less of it. Though honestly only certain portions of it have to be different.

Harmonix confirmed that Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers will work with the Xbox One and PS4 versions of Rock Band 4 respectively.
Do we really need a new thread for every bloody game that's not coming to the system?
When the original sold very well on Wii, yes, wii do.
I wish Harmonix would just come out and tell the truth. It's easier to develop for just PS4 and XB1, because it's a very simple port between the two and PC. Wii U is more difficult to port to.
Currently Playing: Steamworld Heist, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, Tales of Graces F
We have all the Rock Band & Guitar Hero games as well as two sets of guitars and drum sets for BOTH series. I had read in the past that the instruments are not compatible with the Wii U however there are still Wii owners such as myself who already have a boat load of instruments. I was hopeful the new game would include the Wii platform.
When my brother and twin nephews drop in, we have enough instruments for everyone to join in, it's great fun. I would have bought this
who cares. music sims are the worst. pick up a real guitar.
Well, I care, actually. The problem here is that you're calling it a music simulator, but that's where you're entirely wrong. Rock Band 3 barely scratched the surface of "music sim." It's a rhythm game. Wanna know why people play rhythm games? Lemme spell it out for you: Playing guitar = difficult and complex; playing Guitar Hero = easy-to-difficult and simple. Not just anyone can pick up a guitar and play. Not everyone has the time or aptitude. Some people just can't keep a beat to save their lives. Band games offer a fantasy experience that's easy to pick up and just have fun with. No hours upon hours of learning the basics just to realize you still can't even play one song. If it's too hard, just kick down the difficulty. (And before you jump to conclusions, I play guitar, bass, drums, piano, ocarina, and French horn, as well as singing a lot. I also play Rock Band and Guitar Hero all the time.)
If all else fails, my favorite phrase to use is "telling me to go pick up a real guitar instead of playing Guitar Hero is like telling someone who plays Call of Duty to go join a real war."
tl;dr Playing real instruments and playing Guitar Hero isn't the same thing or even remotely similar. Stop telling people to "go do the real thing" as it defeats the purpose of playing a game.
@midnafanboy@Shinji_70 It annoys me when people say that because they're right, but they sound wrong. To be more specific, the Wii U isn't a viable platform FOR 3RD PARTIES. It keeps proving itself. Mario sells well. CoD does not. Zelda sells well. Bayonetta does not. Smash sells well. Assassin's Creed does not. Saying "the Wii U just isn't viable" sounds like you're blaming Nintendo or the console for the fans choosing not to buy 3rd party games and instead buying 1st party exclusives. If anything, it's the fan's fault this is the case (though it doesn't help that 3rd party devs tend to give the Wii U the shaft in the first place, making it difficult to support them on it, nor does it help that the Wii U is a completely different beast from the PS4 and XO, making porting a difficult task, and while you're at that, you may as well point out that Rock Band 4 being a peripheral-based game makes porting a massive multi-company collaboration. Nintendo, Mad Catz, Harmonix, and EA would all have to be on the same page to make that even remotely affordable and... good luck with that.)
... Geez, I keep wanting to do short responses and coming out with walls. I've been away for too long. @__@
I like these types of games, but I'm a little bit glad they all immediately failed the year after they were selling millions. Like many genres, rhythm games became way more fun and interesting to me once we got games that weren't just plastic instrument games. Still sad Rhythm Heaven isn't a bigger name in gaming, since even games meant to simulate real music with real instruments don't quite compare with its understanding of actual rhythm for rhythm games. Also, outside of Xenoblade it's the best new Nintendo IP of the past 10-15 years.
I say this because X game not coming to Wii U is sadly not worth discussing at this point.

actually bayonetta did pretty well considering the instal base. It's nearly half what the xbox 360 bayo sold with an 80 mill install base.
It's also passed all but three third party offerings. (zombie U, Monster Hunter,Lego City) It's only been out since October and has passed many that have been out for 2 years.
