So by now every avid visitor of this site knows that 'Meme Run' exists whether we like it or not. The game itself already looks cancerous and everything sure, but the only thing that can make it worse is how a developer takes this type of feedback.
Earlier today he saw my video based off of meme run:
And like most developers who want to make money, he's gonna try all he can to convince people that his game is the real deal: http://i.imgur.com/MrpsWC0.png
So at this point i wasn't just going to hate on the game for the simple fact that I don't like memes or montage parodies (which this game is completely focused around), I wanted to bring up some actual problems.
1. A game called 'Meme Run' already exists: http://i.imgur.com/zHOHIpl.png https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.teju.memerun
He refuses to change the name because this version was 'released after his' when the only thing released at the moment related to his version of 'Meme Run' is a short gameplay video that already got plenty of negative feedback in the first place.
Once again he says no because he says this already released 'Meme Run' is 'not even remotely funny, it's just bad' (Which I 100% agree, but the fact that this is coming from someone who is developing an extremely similar game with more shaking and terrible jokes, this is just contradictory.)
With that, I wanted to know why his version of 'Meme Run' would be better despite the same terrible jokes and copyrighted material. He refused to defend his OWN GAME that he expects to receive money out of and says 'find out the reasons by playing it yourself' http://i.imgur.com/Rt4Pu3j.png
He's right when he says I won't buy it though, which I won't, but I would still like reasons on how a developer thinks putting a game with copyrighted material on a console is a good idea.
2. Of course the most obvious problem, what i just stated. Copyright Issues. I brought this up as a legitimate concern and uh... I don't think anyone would be surprised at how this developer of a meme-related game reacted... http://i.imgur.com/SeXpjLW.png
Real mature ninja pig.
At this point I just said 'OK have fun when you possibly get into legal trouble'
And he responds saying that my legal advice shouldn't be taken into consideration by him because I'm just a random guy from the internet. http://i.imgur.com/P6CaQo6.png
Ninja Pig studios isn't a developer that yells and blocks whoever criticizes his work, but the fact that he could care less at the actual concerns that could get him into trouble more than makes up for it. He is pretty narcissistic and tries to act cool and pushes out someone whenever they're trying to help him, since his version of Meme Run will be on a platform where more people will notice the game, resulting in him getting a better chance at copyright trouble rather than the other Meme Run on the android store that fell under the radar (thankfully).
This game will sell no matter what cause there are Wii U owners who legitimately like this type of humor, but i trust most people on here to not give a single cent to this tool.
Don't try to troll the same demographic that you're hoping to receive money from badly Ninja Pig http://i.imgur.com/q2fSyfU.png
I don't see why everyone on here is flipping out about games like this. If you were a fan of Nintendo systems during the Wii era then you are more then likely familiar with shovelware. Its the same concept except now its digital.
For every Shovel Knight there will be a meme run, for every Fast Racing Neo there will be a Spiky Walls. The important part is rewarding the devs that actually put time and effort into their games by buying them and ignoring the devs that make cheap cash-ins.
And yet you are bothered enough to write that wall of text.
QUEEN OF SASS
It's like, I just love a cowboy
You know
I'm just like, I just, I know, it's bad
But I'm just like
Can I just like, hang off the back of your horse
And can you go a little faster?!

But the thing I'm wondering is how they got a dev kit in the first place.
All of their games are really bad http://www.ninjapigstudios.com/
@Yuuuta I think at this point Nintendo pretty much hands outs dev kits to anyone. If you have a game that boots up on the system and doesn't crash, you'll be greenlit. It was the same case during the Wii era except now, as I said earlier, its gone digital.
If you have 1.99 - 2.99 to spare you're better off investing in a good and worthwhile Wii U eShop game first.
The best games I've found in that price range are
9/10 Toki Tori
9/10 EDGE
8/10 RUSH
8/10 Color Zen
8/10 Swords&Soldiers
8/10 FlowerWorks HD: Follie's Adventure
8/10 Zen Pinball 2 (Epic Quest DLC)
7/10 XTYPE+
All of them are at least quite original and rich in content and quality.
Checkmark this list and get those games first - before you happen to impulse buy garbage.
I'd add BLOK DROP U onto that list, as it occasionally goes on sale for $1 and is going to get free DLC in the upcoming months, making it a decent purchase.

Well.... BLOK DROP U, I haven't played that one. From what I hear it's comparable to Color Zen Kids.
Color Zen Kids is a 30 minute puzzle experience. An original concept and addicting gameplay, but lacking content and replay value dramatically.
I recommend Color Zen Kids, but with a 4/10 and the notion that everyone interested should get the original Color Zen (8/10) first. It is the same concept but with 4 times the content (also better and more varied content) for the same price.
There's something keeping me from giving games a high rating when they're not even an hour long, especially when it is very easy to add tons of new stages like in the case of BLOK DROP U. For me (in gaming) the only thing more disappointing than seeing a good concept not using its full potential is a game completed in under 30mins.
There's Toki Tori with 50 really clever puzzles and great leveldesign (around 20 hours of gameplay) and nice audiovisuals for 1.99, just so you see where I'm coming from.
Anyway, thanks for your suggestion. I will check BLOK DROP U again when it's updated with more content. Right now I'm sure it's not going to be worth it. For me.
That's the problem with the eShop and Nintendo's dev kits. These aren't developers, these are little kids that threw something together anyone could do with the help of an online tutorial. They just want to make money, because it will sell anyway.

"Mommy, look, I made a game!"
I'm not one to understate the difficulty of making a video game, I could never do it. I couldn't do **** with RPG Maker even! But, I would like to point towards a game made by a single person to show what effort and talent can achieve:
Wait, it's made by the same people as IQ Test? That game with the Miiverse community where the developer is famous for being a jackdonkey to everyone who criticizes the game?
