Couldn't find another thread to put this in, forgive me if this is in the wrong place. A new trailer has just been released for Project CARS, and it's glorious:

(I don't know how to embed the video on here, if anyone does, please feel free to post it. Thanks.)

I recall reading on here that Slightly Mad Studios had commented that they are putting a great deal of effort into the Wii U version of Project CARS. Do you think it will look at least close to what we see in the above trailer? The gameplay footage is from the PS4 version of the game. Also, how do you think the controls will work for a hardcore racing sim on the Wii U with no analog triggers?

When I sit close to the stage, sometimes I get sweat or spit on me from the Runaway Five.

Perhaps the analog sticks be used, since Project CARS supports the game pad as driving wheel?

Well I know what I'm asking for this Christmas... o_O
I'd wager the footage we see in that video is from the PC version at maximum graphic settings so I wouldn't get my hopes up for the Wii U version looking quite that visually stunning, but I'm confident the graphics will suit me just fine on the Wii U and I can't wait to see what Slightly Mad Studios does with the Wii U gamepad for a driving simulator like this.

Neither the gamepad or the pro controller have analog/pressure sensitive triggers. Makes one wonder how Nintendo would handle remakes of Gamecube games like Luigi's Mansion.

They could always release a wireless Gamecube controller for the Wii U, in fact I wish they would do that with the NES and the SNES as well.

That's what I was thinking. Accelerate with the right stick, steer with the left, shift up/down with left/right triggers respectively.

If this ends up being good, I might get it just to get a racing game that isn't Mario Kart.

Of course, I'm a bit meh towards any racing game that threatens to be more realistic than Need for Speed...

The lack of analogue triggers is the one thing putting me off the Wii U version.

Looks stunning! Thus is more anticipated for me then Mario Kart! Give me a real life SIM any day over kart or arcade racers. The no analog triggers shouldn't bother me much, I can usually feather the rpms right where I need them.
