Don't know about that. They look nice in widescreen, but some effects got scrapped in the Trilogy version. Beam effects on the arm cannon are gone in MP1 as well as the water ripple effect.
Import a copy from elsewhere in Europe. Honestly though, looking back I'd probably pay €170 for it; it's 3 top-notch games that I couldn't get into with Gamecube controls, in widescreen. If you do like the GC controls, I guess you could just buy MP1 and MP2 on the cheap?
Any good place in Europe to import from? Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de are both in the same price range as in Sweden. Andyliini: do you know any shop in Finland that export abroad?
Here in the UK, I faced the same problem only a month ago. I was forced to bid on E-Bay. For a brand new buyer like myself I wasn't willing to part with a £140.00 brand new off Amazon for the last UK copy. I bidded and bought Metroid Prime Trilogy for around £65.00 off Ebay but bought it off someone that only used the game for testing (used once). When it came it was in mint condition like I bought it new.
You just need to look around and be wise to bidding aggressively and snipe because when you compare to what it would cost factory sealed then it's worth bidding a bit
Am I the only one who bought the original tin case one for $50 brand new when it first came out and kept my copy? I knew this was going to happen since Nintendo themselves said that the game was only going to be out for a limited time.
I did, too.
Metroid Prime 1 is by far the best. I've never beaten the third game. I get mad at the game and quit. It's not hard, I just hate the story. I have beaten Other M, though...
Yes, the Trilogy is worth the price of at least two games if not three. I have beat Prime, and Corruption, and nearly finished with Echoes and I think they are some of the best "modern day" games ever made.
To blessed to be stressed.

LOL I bought the MP trilogy collector's edition at Wal-Mart for $50 had no idea it was rare until I sold it back to Gamestop and the employee kept commenting on where I managed to score the game. The thing about my town is that since it's so small some of these rare games tend to be missed by the majority and you can find them on shelves. Like a couple days after the release of Rune Factory 4, I read online about a shortage of copies and that same day I found a copy on the shelf at my local Gamestop (didn't buy it of course cuz I don't care much for the series).
The cat's the only cat who knows where it's at.

Even if it's used, in what condition will the games be?
For $170 (€123), you can get yourself a GameCube and the original three games as well. The GameCube games are superior to the ported versions in the trilogy.
Games are expensive in Europe anyway, if the game was sealed, $170 (€123) is bargain compared to prices I have seen.

How do you even have time to be mad at the story? There's like 5 minutes of story cutscenes total in the game.
I'm not talking about cutscenes. I'm talking about how instead of being isolated on a planet to explore, you're constantly being told where to go and what to do with objectives. It feels more like a Halo game than a Metroid game.
