Topic: Mario Kart 8

This thread is for all the peeps that know some possibilities Mario Kart 8 for Wii U will bring!
Post on what characters and modes you think there should be. Lucky for me, I made a custom roster already!

I think there might already be a thread like this, but I'm not theblackdragon, so...
Maybe it could have some kind of adventure mode. Kind of like Mario 64, but more driving. There could be obstacles like on the regular tracks, and they could bring back boss battles. Maybe you start with unlimited banana peels, and as you progress you unlock new weapons (banana peels>triple banana, acts like a back shield>green shells>triple green shell, all around shield>red shells>triple red shells)
And since they already shrank down other characters to fit in karts, maybe next could be Gooper Blooper. It might just be me though, I would really like to play as a cephalopod for some reason.
But maybe they could also bring back signature items for each individual character. Gooper's could be a Super Poison Ink Blob that obscures the main screen and map and slows people down.
Mario- Jump attack, flattens others
Luigi- Poltergust, sucks nearby people ahead of him toward him
Donkey Kong- Barrels that go in a straight line and flatten others, though limited supply
Wario- Steal everyone else's coins
That's all I can think of for that. But maybe, though unlikely, it could have characters from different series that would fit in with the Mario universe, like maybe Kirby, who can seat other people, steal their signature item, and spit them out behind him, Pikachu and Toon Link.

I want a Rainbow Cup that takes Rainbow Road courses from different games and puts them in to one cup.

I hope this one includes Wario Colosseum as a retro track.

I wonder if it could take a page from Zen Pinball 2 and have levels drawn from a variety of sources? I'd like to see that, but it may not fit in a Mario game.

It would make sense to have at least some levels tied into the Mario Kart toys - maybe with a different graphical feel. A few levels with the "Scream" art design from NSMBU would be nice, too.

Cameo character and tracks from other Nintendo titles. An adventure mode similar to Diddy Kong Racing.

Track possibilities:

Skyward Stalk - Where you can drive on a giant Stalk (from NSMBU).
Airship - Drive all inside an Airship.

That's all I can think of right now.

I'd like a Yoshi kart. Mostly because that's what I used in Double Dash... Y'know what? They should just make a Mario Kart Double Dash 2.

I really liked 7. They should keep the customize cars feature.

I will settle for nothing less. I at least want the old drifting back (moving analog stick/d-pad back and forth to go from orange to blue sparks)

I would LOVE a Double Dash 2 with modern drifting (MK Wii and MK7)

but i kinda hate how they rely on the old tracks more then bring more new ones =/ but weird enough i would like them to bring back that one yoshi track from double dash and baby park which was amazing in the end having more tracks then the same amount the use would be better that way we have more cups to play in

I'd like a Mario Kart game with every track from previous games... Maybe the game itself would only come with new tracks and they could sell these as DLC. That would be awesome.
