Topic: IPs that should be apart of Nintendo

Posts 1 to 20 of 30

After watching thePac-Man trailer for Super Smash Bros Wii U.. I was thinking what if other company mascots joined Super Smash and Even Nintendo as a whole!!

1. Sonic The Hedgehog.. (Sega) ~ I just wish Nintendo would buy Sega as a whole.. Especially with Atlus now under Sega as well.. I think it would be a great investment.. and Nintendo will have ALOT more IPs at their disposal..

2. Megaman..(Capcom) ~ Capcom already announced its death after Keiji Inafune left the company and they said that they would not make another game for the next 10 years.. and I think Nintendo could be the perfect company to bring that IP back to life!

3. Gex.. (Crystal Dynamics) ~ One of my favorite games on Nintendo 64 growing up.. I just wish Nintendo would bring it back to life! (Super Smash 5 maybe :3)

4. Bomberman.. (Hudson Soft) ~ To be honest I was never a fan of this series.. but I think he would be a great addition to the Nintendo Family!

5. Banjo & Kazooie.. (Rare) ~ I was heartbroken when Microsoft bought them from Nintendo.. I think its not fare anyway since they were introduced in a Donkey Kong game anyway.. I just wish Nintendo would get it back somehow! they belong to Nintendo!

6. Crash Bandicoot.. (Activision) ~ Crash suffered alot due to the fact that their company kept trying to turn it into a Mario Clone.. creating Racing & Party spinoffs out of the series that ultimately failed.. Its been a very long time since Crash has been mentioned.. So why not give it to nintendo to bring it back to life.. Just introduce it in Super Smash 5 and itll breathe life into the series again!

7. Goemon.. (Konami) ~ Also one of my favorite games on Nintendo 64! Konami havent really made use of this IP outside of Japan and all games after 2000 were just shitty.. Nintendo could bring it back to life as well!! with Super Smash Bros!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just for Super Smash Bros..
7. Rayman.. (Ubisoft) ~ Ubisoft have been bitches with Nintendo lately.. but you can just tell that Rayman would be an amazing addition to Super Smash Bros
8. Mickey Mouse.. (Disney) ~ I honestly don't understand why this hadn't happened yet.. >_< I actually want Nintendo to partner up with Disney or better yet have disney buy Nintendo that way Nintendo will have exclusive games of all Marvel superheroes and we could see Nintendo Films!
While it seems like a nice idea at first glance, Nintendo needs more 3rd party support, not less.
Having 3rd party support is not a good idea in my opinion.. because the game will be compared with the ones on xbox & ps4 and unfortunately Wii U is less powerful than both.. I think what their doing is smart with utilizing 2nd party support where they have big companies create games exclusively for Nintendo..
Almost every game made on SNES was exclusive to that system so that would make them all second party. Seriously though, do you honestly think that Genesis could support Killer Instinct?
But yes I want Nintendo to buy Sega already as they are already bashing their mascot to bits.
After so long...I'm back. Don't ask why
The way your thread title is written it sounds like you want franchises removed from Nintendo. Which sounds like the opposite of what your thread is about.
Frankly developer/publisher diversity is important to a strong video game culture, mashing them all under the same roof isn't a good idea overall.
You know, even if some companies (like Konami and Capcom in particular would rather sit on some of their classic icons.
I'm just glad Nintendo has enough goodwill to get stuff like Smash Bros. guest-stars done.
EDIT: It always sort of confused me why Hudson-Soft didn't get absorbed by Nintendo toward the end there. For a time they were a second party developer for Nintendo. Most of Hudson's franchises would have been a much better fit at Nintendo. Especially since Konami is just frigeing them all. I mean, damn Bonk and Bomberman alone...
Exclusive doesn't automatically mean 2nd party and 3rd party doesn't automatically mean multiplat. The Wii U has many 3rd party exclusives, such as Sonic: The Lost World, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, and Wonderful 101.
So Anakin kneels before Monster Mash and pledges his loyalty to the graveyard smash.
I'd like to see the koopalings, and Mario's other enemy turtles, finally dish out punishment to the Mario bros.
how does my title sound like I want franchises to be removed from nintendo.. I didn't even mention any of nintendos franchises.. and as for the gaming culture.. I chose these 7 specifically because they have been away for a while and almost all their latest games were flops.. they are all considered "Cult Favorites.." I think these games would be amazing additions to Nintendo because their art style works really well with Nintendo.. and it will give nintendo more variety of projects to put out each year.. So far the only active IPs for nintendo are
1. Mario Bros (and all spinoffs like Mario Kart, Mario Party, Mario & Luigi, Paper Mario, Etc)
2. Legend Of Zelda
3. Starfox
4. F Zero
5. Kirby
6. Yoshi
7. Fire Emblem
8. Metroid
9. Animal Crossing
10. Wii franchises (Wii Sports, Wii Fit, Etc)
and a few others..
Just imagine having Sonic exclusively for Nintendo.. Mega Man and Bomberman too..
What I'm trying to say is.. Since its clear that 3rd party support is very minimal and it doesnt seem like its going to increase anytime soon.. Nintendo needs more IPs and exclusive games.. I mean in the past 6 months we've literally just got like 9 Wii U games.. and more than half of them are E Shop titles.. and almost 80% of the games announced in e3 were for 2015.. Nintendo needs to do something about this.. My Wii U has been collecting dust from maybe March till Mario Kart 8.. Its not okay..
but then it should read "apart FROM Nintendo" this leads to the conclusion that the writer simply neglected to put a space inbetween 'a' and 'part', as the phrase if it was indeed 'apart' is a very unusual way of expressing that thought, as opposed to "ips that should not be nintendos"
Nintendo couldn't do it. They made a billion dollars profit in just the last quarter.
Yes, of course. I understood what he meant, typo aside.
But he asked how his thread title could have been interpreted that way, so i explained it for him.
I almost flipped tables about Pac-Man, but I was slowly preparing for the inevitable, so I didn't take it that badly.
