Topic: harvest moon U?

Has anyone heard any rumors? Just something on my list of games i want to see! Id like it to be more like a wonderful if they do make it. That was just the best one in my opinion.

Well if you knew what is going on with the Harvest Moon series then it would make sense to you.

Long story short Natsume owns the Harvest Moon name in NA but not the rights to the game. Therefore on the 3DS the Harvest Moon game made by Natsume will not be the same Harvest Moon we all know here in NA. Another company called Marvelous now has the rights to make the Harvest Moon games here in NA but they can't use the Harvest Moon name so instead it will now be called Story of Seasons.

It's not looking very promising right now. It seems like they are mainly concentrating on the 3DS. I want one on the Wii U as much as the next guy, but it just doesn't seem like it will happen anytime soon.

To be fair, I always liked Harvest Moon more as a portable franchise. The kind of gameplay it presents seems more suited for a handheld anyways.

I always liked Harvest Moon as a console franchise (come home from work/school relax with some Harvest Moon/Rune Factory/etc.). But then again I've never been much of a handheld gamer.

Sadly, we probably won't see a console iteration this gen. Why make an expensive version of a game that might sell poorly when you can make a cheap version with more probability for success? I feel we won't be seeing many console versions of niche Japanese games at all, actually T_T.

Im not much for portable either, and that sucks its a pretty big pick for me :/

I think if they followed the way a wonderful life went then it would sell well, but if what you say is whats going on then i guess we wont be seeing one.

Their current focus, for both Natsume and Marvelous, is the portable market.

Its inevitable. But we prolly won't see it until late 2015.

I just need a HD 2.5D harvest moon that play and feels like Harvest Mooon 64. PLEASE MARVELOUS!!

This... or heck, I'd accept a remaster. Everyone is in the remastered mindset right now it seems like. I'd be happy with a remastered HM64. In fact I'd preorder it and be waiting for it at Midnight, lol.

Man, a definitive HD Harvest Moon on the Wii U would kick so much butt. Heck, they could even just "modernize" Harvest Moon 64 and I'd pay full price for that puppy.

I hope so. I loved all of the wii versions....even with the horrible load times. Well...Natsume may fill the void if their harvest moon franchise takes off.
