Topic: Can't decide which Shovel Knight to get HELP!

After reading through reviews and reviews, I'm really loving this game. It is basically a all my favorite game as a child merged into one! Now, which version should I get? I try to weigh the pros and cons for both Wii U and 3DS and still couldn't come up with a decision. Your valuable input is much appreciated. 15 bucks is at stake.

Wii U= HD on a big screen and the Gamepad's button layout is better for the game

3DS= 3D (I read the 3D is gorgeous in this game) and streetpass.

Decisions!!

I would go with Wii U - better controls and big screen is way better than buying the game for 3D only - it won't compansate for controls.

Personally I'm going Wii U because I'm on summer vacation and this game feels like it should be played on a TV.

Don't resist the urge and buy both versions. Shovel Knight is more than worth $30.

I went with Wii U, I'll remain with that until I want to take the experience outdoors. I do love the 3D effect, though. Like me, you can always take solace in Battle Mode eventually being patched in... Someday.

I do love the game, but so far (pretty early) nothing has struck me with the impending desire to see it through again. Of course, that all remains to be seen well down the road, but I'm going to think long and hard before I double dip.

Double dipping is a bit tough to swallow atm. Unless there are different content between the versions like Smash bros, I can't justify double dipping.

So far the Wii U seems to be the platform of choice!

Get the 3DS version, if just for the mobility.

I might end up getting all 3. I know if there is nothing in the EU eshop update on Monday about it then I will get the Steam one then. (Wii U one when its in Europe) and the 3DS one if I still want to play it when I go on holiday.

I'm going with the 3DS version, mostly because most of my vacations will be spent overseas.

At least you can buy it, it's not released in Europe yet. Cries in Corner

You coulld also look at the promised free upcoming features that are part of the KickStarter. It seems like local multiplayer will be available for the Wii U?

I'm in the same boat but I'm leaning towards 3DS.

I don't want to disturb my 3DS from its cozy thick dust pile... Wii U always wins

I went with Wii U last night, just to have the feeling of playing my SNES on the big screen again. Also, my hand doesn't get cramped playing Wii U, unlike the 3DS.

Does anyone know when it's getting released in UK?

I've bought both versions so far so I could play it on the go and on the big screen.

Go with the 3DS version IMO, the sprites look more crisp and the pick up and play gameplay is more akin to a mobile platform.

Great game overall.

Thanks for the responses guys! But judging from the crossbuy news today, my 10 fingers are now crossed that this game will get cross buy! I
