Topic: 3rd Party Titles YOU Want On Wii U

In this thread I want to know what games you'd like to see from some third parties. I'll start by mentioning games that I think would be perfect as Wii U exclusives.

There is one game that I think has been needing a good sequel for a while now, the original of which, being on the DS. I'm talking about Lost Magic. Now, I know this game got a lot of slack for being too unforgiving and having iffy controls.. but I really think this game was underrated. It is definitely in my top 3 DS titles and one of it's most "nostalgic" games from the system for me. I think Ubisoft needs to make a sequel and now is the perfect time. They could potentially make an amazing one with the Wii U. It has the perfect controller and graphic capabilities for it and if done right I believe people would buy it.. I know there was a sequel but I'm not even sure if it was released outside japan and also I don't think it was made by Ubisoft.. I could be wrong though. Regardless, I think Wii U is a good fit for a new one.

Another title is from Konami. I know they don't release much on Nintendo but they did release Castlevania: Mirrors of Fate recently on the 3DS so I have hope. The game is Bomberman. A true sequel to Bomberman 64 that is, a seriously good and challenging game that needs another entry in the same vein as the original. The boss fights and level design in this game were amazing, it was so hard trying to figure out and find all the secrets in this game that it consumed hours upon hours of my time yet it never became boring or frustrating. Another thing it had going for it was it's multiplayer, it wasn't traditional Bomberman multiplayer but it didn't matter, it was still just as insane and hectic as any other titles and if you played with other really skilled players it could get pretty intense. I'm not sure how exactly it would utilize the gamepad, but I don't care I want this game.

Last but not least, and this is a long shot since it's EA, "Spore" 2. Spore on the PC is excellent and if you haven't tried it.. I dare say you're missing out. I won't go too much into on why I think this would be great on the Wii U other than it's fitting for the demographic and the gamepad would make customizing things so much easier than the original. I even think if they did it right, you could literally design your own creatures by drawing them. I'd imagine this would have to be a PC/Wii U exclusive... but still it'd be perfect. Especially with the Skylanders hype. This is a dream though, I'd settle for a new pc version, I just think the Wii U is a perfect fit for Spore.

I think the problem with 3rd parties not selling on Nintendo right now is because they're not exclusives. I really hope once Wii U starts selling these companies take heed and take risks with some well loved classic IP's that have fans who are just WAITING for a new entry, worthy of purchase. It just seems like every time a company releases a new title from an old IP they half-ass it and then wonder why it flops.. and they give up on it. It's a shame.

I want to hear what you guys think and what 3rd party titles you'd really like to see on the Wii U.

Destiny is a no brainer. I'd also like to see a lot more RPG's. I see no reason why Final Fantasy can't be on Wii U. Need For Speed Rivals would be nice too. Oh yeah, and the next Mass Effect game.

Any 3rd party games that aren't FPS games. I only need one FPS game per system and I have my fill.

I really haven't paid much attention to Destiny but from what I have seen, it looks decent. Much better looking than a lot of FPS that have been pumped out relentlessly over the last few years. And as for Final Fantasy well.. I couldn't agree more. I just think that it has to be exclusive. That's the key to selling systems and games right now I think. You release a classic looking final fantasy with an upgraded graphics similar to Bravely Default (but obviously much better because it's wii u) then I could definitely see classic FF fans wanting a Wii U. Hell, Bravely Default was one of my deciding factors in getting a 3DS, because it's basically classic final fantasy.

I think if Nintendo released their own FPS IP it'd be great, they need to look at their classics like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark and whip up something amazing. I somewhat agree though... I could care less about another game like COD getting ported over to the Wii U.

Well, I could come up with a pretty long list, if I tried. But I think Phantasy Star Online 2 would be an awesome addition, not just because I've always been a huge fan, across all platforms, even PC, but it would be a cool throw-back to how PSO shined brightest on the Gamecube.

PSO and Nintendo, like peanut butter and jelly. ^_^

@SirGreatNose Wow, yes. Man, I've been looking forward to this game for a while on the PC. I played the crap out of the original on Dreamcast but haven't since then. I loved that game, if PSO2 came to the Wii U it'd definitely be a day 1 buy for me. The fact that it's from Sega makes it feel like it could actually be a possibility.

Every PC turn based strategy game ever would be a good, logical start.

Beyond Good and Evil 2 and games that aren't as important as Beyond Good and Evil 2 would be great.

I'll also mention the remake of Monster Hunter 4, because you already know there's going to be a remake of Monster Hunter 4, 3 Ultimate style.

I've yet to play a Monster Hunter game.. they just seem like such a multiplayer experience that I wouldn't have fun alone. I don't know anyone who owns the game. If they released MH4 here though I'd probably pick it up for sure, especially if it came to Wii U and had good online. I've been wanting to jump into the series, as I do think it looks great, just feels like it might not be so great if you're solo all the time.

I'm not exaclty sure what turn based PC games you have in mind, but if you're speaking of games in the vein of Final Fantasy Tactics then I'm with you. I love those. I never played Beyond good and evil 2, or the first one for that matter. I know they're supposed to be great games though. I had a friend that raved about the first one.

@Spuratis: Beyond Good and Evil 2 is yet to come out, but the first one was on the Gamecube along with the PC and PS2 and XBox.

I really want to see a lot more survival horror games from third party companies on Wii U. If we could get the Resident Evil games to come out consistently, that would be great. And all those indie titles that come out for PC.

you should play the first. Legitimately amazing game, especially if you enjoy Zelda-likes.

I would like to see Destiny on Wii U too, pointer controls are cool for this stuff.

I'd love to see the new Mirror's Edge 2 for Wii U...

@SkywardCrowbar Ahh, see, shows how much I know. I didn't know that it came out for gamecube. Must have missed that, unfortunately. As far as Survival Horrors and Resident Evil goes... yah, I'd definitely like to see some new ones, but not like Resident Evil 5 or 6.. I'm a big fan of pretty much everything Resident Evil up to Code Veronica. The newer ones have just had too much run and gun, not saying it's a bad thing, I just don't want that from RE. That isn't survival horror to me. I think the Wii U needs Eternal Darkness, be it HD remake or a new one. Nintendo needs to jump on that.

@kkslider5552000 Maybe I'll pick it up someday. I want to rebuy Gamecube and get some games for that as well, just don't have extra cash. I've been really wanting to play Eternal Darkness the last year so that's almost forced me to get a GC a few times. I will break one of these days when I have some extra cash.

Tales of, Tekken, and Mortal Kombat.

Other than that, can't really think of much.

Super Castlevania V - A 2D sequel to Super Castlevania IV.
Contra 5 - A 2D sequel to Contra III: The Alien Wars.
A brand new Metal Gear Solid game made specifically for the Wii U.

I'll take anything, really. The only games that come to mind are ones that no one has said are in development at all.

i.e. a new RE, Castlevania, maybe a sim game like Spore, Tony Hawk(pro skateboarding), more action RPGs, more dual screen games like Game & Wario, and a new Meteos game like the DS one with some improvements would be "da bomb, yo".

I'd just be happy with Ground Zeroes and Five coming to the Wii U, or even if they'd just offer the legacy collection for Wii U.
