Topic: Best N64 Titles?

Hey guys! Im 16 which unfortunately means I missed out on the "Golden Years" of Nintendo. Im finally buying my self an N64 and just curious what games i should get. I know of games like Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and Majoras mask, Mario 64, and other games that are popular and well know. Im more interested in games that arent well known and are still great at the same time. Any suggestions?

I thought this game was awesome. Sure no multiplayer mode, but it was still good.

Iv heard of Bomberman, but not Bomberman Hero. Ill have to check it out.

Well, if you're committed to getting an actual N64 rather than downloading on VC, then you ought to get the RARE games such as Conker's Bad Fur Day, Banjo-Kazooie, Banjo-Tooie, Donkey Kong 64, GoldenEye, and Perfect Dark.

I dont really have the money for some of the "rare" games. Im looking more for sleeper hits. Good games that never made it into the spotlight.

Ogre Battle sounds really familiar. I think my cousin had it. I remember it being cool.

1080 snow boarding, wave race, star wars episode one racer, v rally 99, killer instinct gold, extreme g, fighters destiny.

Just to name a few that haven't been listed yet.

Mario 64, Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Mario Kart 64, NBA Courtside 2: Featuring Kobe Bryant, WWF No Mercy, Goldeneye 007, and Banjo Kaazoie ring a bell, but there was tons to love about the console including some great first party titles and some fun sports games. Other titles like Perfect Dark, Gex 2, Zelda: Majora's Mask, and Star Wars come to mind as well. So many classic games to be had on the N64!

It also had the best version of international superstar soccer - the franchise that eventually became pro evo.

I forgot about Extreme G. That was superb!

This is seriously one of the most underrated games of all time.

Shadows of the Empire

Bomberman 64 is one of my top games of all time, collecting all 125 golden cards can be ridiculously hard, the levels are actually pretty complex and puzzling in their own right. The boss fights are amazing and the game lasts a good amount of time. Plus it has really fun multiplayer. I've played all the Bomberman games for N64 and nothing comes close to this one.. obviously that's just my opinion, but this game just seems to have a lot more depth. The other ones, ALTHOUGH GOOD, felt like kind of a letdown in comparison. If you're looking for an action/puzzler this is one of the best N64 games. When I say puzzler, there isn't exactly puzzles in the levels, but the way you have to do things with your bombs and power ups to get to certain areas and collect certain things, is puzzling in itself. I can go on forever about this game. I'd crap myself if they released a worthy spiritual successor.

Harvest Moon 64 is THEE best Harvest Moon title. It just feels so special. It's another one of my top games of all time.

Rogue Squadron is great and so is Star Wars Pod Racing.. it's ridiculously good racing game

F-Zero X and Diddy Kong Racing are also really good.

Another under-rated title and a great third-person shooter/adventure is Jet Force Gemini. Very good game.

Perfect Dark, Conkers.. those should be obvious.

Goldeneye will always be one of the best multiplayer games ever!! It was definitely one of my most played games on the Nintendo 64!!
