The black controller looks kinda familar doesn't it? The A & B buttons are a trigger underneath. I bet people ten years ago scoffed hard at how ridiculous it looks - holding a game controller like a remote? Thats crazy and will never catch on!
I remember seeing those at Gamestop back during the N64 Era. The main reason I passed on it was cause it was a third party controller, which I never buy since they always seem like a piece of junk.

I thought that was only offered as a Nintendo Power subscription bundle (order the magazine, get the controller for like $20 more. Which still wasn't bad, considering new first-party controllers were $25-30.) I thought the DK console bundle included the clear green console/controller, before they were sold separately (like the other colored N64s).
No, it was a sweet Nintendo Power subscriber bonus. Other Bonuses included The Legend of Zelda Collectors Edition for GameCube and the Ocarina of Time soundtrack. Nintendo Power doesn't do sweet deals anymore.
