I don't cry a lot, especially when it comes to games, so I thought I should present the short list of games that succeed in making me feel miserable, ordered by the level of sadness they cause me. I'd also like to see what other people consider to be "tearjerking" games, so feel free to post yer own list.
Honorable Mentions:
1. Shadow of the Colossus (PS2/PS3)
2. The Last of Us (PS3)
3. Bioshock Infinite (Multiplat)
Teary-eyed:
1. Bioshock (Multiplat)
2. Journey (PS3)
3. Super Paper Mario (Wii)
4. LoZ: Link's Awakening (Gameboy)
5. Metal Gear Solid 3&4 (Multiplat/PS3)
6. LoZ: Twilight Princess (Gamecube/Wii)
Tears Literally Streaming Down My Face:
1. Telltale's The Walking Dead (Multiplat)
So yeah, there's my list. Can't shake the feeling I'm missing a few though, so add yer own and we can all feel miserable together

As for games I don't think any got me emotional, maybe TP back in the day when I did not expect the ending like that and Drawn to life.
There are other games with sad endings but they never got to me.
Just coming from my list. I can't actually cry easily (it's been years and years since my last time), so I'll just list the games that have made me very sad, organised in a way which might make sense. Also, vague spoilers.
A few strong sad moments
-L.A. Noire
-Drawn to Life
-ImmorTall
Melancholic for its entirety
-Metro 2033
-Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days
-To The Moon
-Phantasy Star 2
-Little Inferno
always thought I'd change to Gyarados after I turned 20 but hey, this is more fitting I guess. (also somebody registered under the original Magikarp name and I can't get back to it anymore orz)
BEST THREAD EVER future of NL >:3
[16:43] James: I should learn these site rules more clearly
[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
Final Fantasy VII. I'm amazed I was able to play the game without having it's moments spoiled to me by the internet. Then there's Crisis Core. Yeah, I knew how it would end, but darn it, it makes you cry.
Zero Escape: Virtue's Last Reward got me to tear up during one of its endings. If you've played it, you know which one.
I can't imagine anyone not at least tearing up at The Walking Dead. Most people would do much more than just that.
Best thread ever

@OrdonianLink out of curiosity, which part of Resident Evil Revelations was cryworthy? I can't remember anything sad from that game (although I might have been too busy cringing about Jessica and everything she said)
Also, to all the To The Moon fans here, A Bird Story, the sort of prequel to the sequel, is coming out any day now!

@CaptainSquid At what point in Sonic Adventure? I'm curious.
Well, to leave out details for the sake of spoilers, it was Gamma's ending. Not that tear-jerking today, but it was years ago when I first played it, so it counts.
