Topic: Tearjerking Titles?

Ah, okay, I can see that. I was a little sad too with his entire campaign, to be honest. Granted, I was much younger then.

If it wasn't for spoilers, I might have cried at the end of Portal 2.

RIP Gamma, the only character that I cared for in that game.

Oh crud, how did I forget Elite Beat Agents? It felt so out of place for me to cry in that game of all things that it made it memorable.

I usually don't get super emotional when I play games, but here's a few that made me feel sad/emotional:
-Super Mario Galaxy (At the credits)
-Batman Arkham City
-Chrono Trigger
-Metal Gear Solid

Actually one that should not be as sad as it is and yet was, Link's Awakening. SEAGULLLLL ;___;

I'll leave out spoilers, but it's a part with Parker. If you haven't beaten the game or gotten near the ending you probably don't know about the part I'm talking about then.

Ninja Gaiden. When I finally beat that game without save states I couldn't help but weep.

Persona 3 and Persona 4. Nuff said.

Why mention that? I don't think it was a goal of either development team to get players to cry in any COD game...
Actually, the only military shooter I've seen that even tries to evoke emotion from the player would be Spec Ops: The Line. Even at that, I think it was aiming more for "chill feels" and a feeling of regret.

Mother 3, that game is a masterpiece. Journey is also very emotional.

If I can be completely honest, I thought the ending to the previous game involving characters I should in theory not care THAT much about was far sadder.

the ending to Ghost Trick was one of the most emotional bits I've ever seen in a videogame.

i must say the ending to Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity was quite sad

Ghost Trick! I can't believe I forgot that one! That whole game is pretty melancholy, especially in the second half.
