@Grumblevolcano Oh, I completely agree. Nintendo really needs a separate platform for announcing their QOL/Non-Gamer style announcements.

Though... A Wii Sports successor could easily land in a Direct without too much backlash I'd think, so long as it's accompanied with the proper other announcements.

FIFA 18 is definitely moving up in the UK eshop rankings due to the 50% off sale, now at 6th.

It depends on what they mean by casual. It could be that in addition to LABO (the big standout), they consider Mario Tennis Aces, Kirby: Star Allies & Yoshi (as entry level platformers), and a potential Animal Crossing as games aimed at the casual audience.

While they had some casual titles last year (1 2 Switch, Snipperclips, and possibly Mario Kart 8 Deluxe), LABO & Animal Crossing (hypothetically) alone would be a bigger part of their 2018 strategy than the previous three games were for 2017 from a marketing perspective (1 2 Switch being overshadowed by Zelda, Snipperclips being small bananas, and MK8D being a port).

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

Forgot how much I really like Fire Emblem Warriors.

Saw the DLC for Shadow Dragon was out now, and for Fates, and for Awakening. So I updated and fired 'er up. What a great game... really. They did a good job. And the reason for that is, it feels like I'm playing a Fire Emblem game, not a Warriors game.

Hollow Nintendo Switch - Release Announcement Trailer

We are happy to announce Hollow Nintendo Switch release date - 22/02/2018 - mark this date!!!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=11yXmL_DEF0

“I never cared about this ship…I just…wanted to find myself. I had to. Something deep in my brain – deep in my very soul – clawed at me, struggling to make sense of everything. But the sad truth is that it never could. I never could. I still can’t remember who I am.”

Hello, prospective crew member! Welcome to Shakhter-One, the first space mining ship to gather resources from the atmosphere of the planet Jupiter! Shakhter-One provides mass quantities of supplies to a resource-starved Earth. Thanks to Shakhter-One, we no longer have to depend on coal or oil! Still not sold on making Shakhter-One your new home?

“I don’t even know if this has happened before. Me, here, telling this same, exact story. …Surely not. I would remember that… Right?”

Shakhter-One offers a fresh start among the stars! On Shakhter-One, everybody is important! Everybody is employed! All children have an equal start! We’re confident you’ll see that Shakhter-One is the perfect place to begin your family’s future!

“The only thing that I can truly be sure of is the constant, pervading feeling I have deep inside. I’m empty. I’m hollow.”

In “Hollow,” you are one of the pilots that transports precious resource cargo from the mining ship Shakhter-One down to Earth. One day you wake up in an emergency capsule drifting near the facility. You don’t remember who you are, or how you got out there… All you can remember is an autopilot docking code for capsule dock NR 6.

When you dock with Shakhter-One, it is clear that something has gone horribly wrong. The crew is missing and the entire facility is dealing with catastrophic power issues. As you start to uncover the ship’s terrifying secrets, Shakhter-One threatens to take your identity, your sanity, and – ultimately – your life.

The worst evil is the one that knows us better than we know ourselves.
The worst nightmare is the one borne in our past, emotions, fears, and pain.

– Explore a derelict mining facility in orbit around Jupiter.
– Wade trough nightmare and solve Shakhter-One mystery.
– Enter open battle or use environment as your ally while fighting your fears.
– Solve puzzles and use your brain to proceed.
– Master “In-Your-Face” gun combat to survive.
– Reveal deep, engaging backstory of protagonist and set him free… … or do not.

@JaxonH Awakening is next month, I'd guess a release date of 7th/8th or 14th/15th for NA/EU so the season pass content is fully released before Hyrule Warriors Definitive Edition releases in Japan.

@Ryu_Niiyama Now that's a proper Ryu avatar! Your last one was a little umm...static!

@GrailUK Aww y'all always make me feel like a part of the community with the fact that y'all notice when I change them. I need to raid the interwebz and update my stash. I only keep them on my work computers (cuz i spend my time up here when im at work...bad Ryu I know) so I lost a good stash when I moved. Didn't like them playing DS systems? I'm going to skip my normal response and not change it since you commented on it.

Should I feel bad that I'm tempted to buy Bayo because of the reversible cover?

@SLIGEACH_EIRE I'm going to be happy if this is all the Switch gets for the life of the system going forward. Sure AAA games are nice and all but I really just want to play good games and the Switch doesn't lack good games in the slightest.

It's to the point I can't keep up anymore though. After what happened with the Wii U and begging for games I can't even play all the games I want on the Switch. I'm still playing games from 6 months ago and barely touched half the games I bought last year.
