Topic: Any good Switch games that start with the letter Z?

This might be a bit odd, but I've made it a bit of a goal of mine to own at least one Switch game beginning with each letter of the alphabet (as well as at least one game beginning with a number), and while I've got 23/26 letters and no number game covered, with 30XX, qomp2/Quiplash, and Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition/Xeodrifter in mind to fill most of the remaining gaps, I'm a bit stumped on if there's anything really worth picking up beginning with Z. Any recommendations?

Nintendo are like woman, You love them for whats on the inside, not the outside…you know what I mean! Luzlane best girl!

Sorry for not being active much recently, but I’m very much alive!

WiiWareWave

Ziggurat and Ziggurat II come to mind. Tbh there are barely any Switch games that start with the letter Z!

I've personally played the following, though only the first one on Switch:

Zaccaria Pinball
If the only criteria is that you can have an icon on your home screen, then this is for you since it's free to download. You get a table or two and you have to pay for the rest.

Zombie Panic in Wonderland DX
Compact on-rail shooter originally for WiiWare. I played it on 3DS instead. The visual upgrade for Switch is bit lacking.

Zombies Ate My Neighbors and Ghoul Patrol
Fun classic SNES game that you can play with your friend. You also get another inferior game starting with G as a bonus. (Joking of course. I haven't played Ghoul Patrol, it could be even better.)

It's its, not it's.

It's interesting how uncommon they seem to be. I just checked my Switch collection and realised that I don't have a single one despite having over 750 games at this point.

Zombie Night Terror is pretty good. Bit of a shame there's no Eshop sale, when it's 90% off on Steam.

EDIT: I also quite liked Zombie Driver back when it came out on PC. The kind of mindless fun you need every once in a while. Never played it on Switch though.

NSO has Zelda 2 if that counts

Zengeon is probably your best bet. It's an anime rouguelite like Hades

I checked my Switch collection and I'm missing E, Q, U and Z.

Magician

Zombie Army Trilogy and/or Zombie Army 4 are good third person shooters.

Thanks for all the responses! I don't know if I'll opt for any of them, particularly as Zarvot also caught my eye - doesn't have the strongest reviews, but it piques my interest more than some of the other games I looked into. Zombie Night Terror is runner-up, though I don't know if I'm particularly interested in it given it's apparently touchscreen only and has a bit of M-rated content that's a bit too out there for my tastes - does at least seem to have good reviews, though.

I have nothing, and I'd say I have a pretty big library (of mostly physical games).

checks Nope. No downloads either.

I have games beginning with every letter of the alphabet except Z.

Honourable mentions:
E (2 games: Everybody 1-2 Switch, Excitebike)
I (3 games: Ion Fury, Ice Climber, I Am Setsuna) [though I want to get rid of Setsuna]
Q (1 game: Quake) [Quake II physical ordered]
V (1 game: Vitamin Connection) [3 more if you count the VS. Arcade Archives games]

If only Zero Escape games were on Switch.

Now you've just made me kinda wish that Capcom made a Zack & Wiki 2 for Switch.....

@Zuljaras : Ah, forgot about that one. I intended to import a physical copy of that, but ultimately decided against it as it looked far too antiquated even for my 90s tastes, especially when I can already play the likes of classic DOOM and Quake on the same system.

And speaking of DOOM (and with the benefit of hindsight), that seemed to be the first full realisation of the FPS genre while everything that preceded it (including iD's own Wolfenstein 3D/Spear of Destiny) were glorified labyrinth simulators that were otherwise hindered by the technical constraints of the day. The fact that Wolfenstein 3D is yet to be issued a port for modern hardware I think is very telling of how well it stacks up against modern games, while DOOM still holds it own against the best of them nearly 30 years after its release.

@Sisilly_G Yes DooM was made more interesting with its levels design and it still holds up today really well

Zero Tolerance for me is nostalgia. I know it is antique looking but that does not bother me at all

FishyS

hmm... I have 4 games which start with numbers - I wonder if it's possible to start with all 10 numbers.

Quake is my only Q

I have no X or Z! @PikaPhantom is forcing me to go buy two more games. 😝

Is there anything that starts with X that is not Xenoblade?

@Sisilly_G I had a weirdly large number of Vs, one of which is of course VVVVVV.
