All these game announcements recently have made me think
about how much video games have evolved over time.
Future classics are in production right now,
so while we wait for Super Mario Maker,
Star Fox Zero and all the other titles on the horizon, I thought
it would be cool to see what other Nintendo Lifers consider
their five favorite Nintendo games of all time!
Here are mine in no particular order:
The Legend of Zelda (NES)
Luigi's Mansion (GCN)
Super Mario World (SNES)
LoZ: Ocarina of Time (N64)
Paperboy (NES)

I don't know what it is, but the games Nintendo made during the GameCube era are the greatest stuff I ever gave them money for. For me, nothing can compare to that.

Mario kart; Double Dash!!
Zelda Link between worlds
Pokemon Red
Animal crossing new leaf
Soulsilver is my favourite, but there is no particular order to the others! Phew, That was so hard.
The GCN did put out some slick games back in the day!
Metroid Prime is such a great game! It reminds me of Super Metroid in the right ways.
One of my proudest gaming accomplishments was when I first beat MP on hard mode.
That victory ranks right up there with the moment I finally completed the
Water Temple in OoT for the first time when I was 10.
That one was confusing lol anyone else remember any proud gaming moments?

some notes: Super Mario Galaxy (Wii), Super Metroid (SNES), and Zelda: ALttP (SNES) are practically tied with the games I mentioned in the list as my favorites in their respective series'. It could really go either way.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii) easily earns a spot as well (I've yet to play the newer entries), but I'm just so confused on where to put it. This is not to say it would automatically be my top pick, but for some odd reason, it just feels wrong to judge Smash against other games, and I don't know why.
Also, Fire Emblem: Awakening (3DS) is thiiiiis close to knocking off Pokémon Gold/Silver (GB) for a spot on the list.
Hmm, seems like Twilight Princess has gotten more popular. Can someone say Zelda Cycle?
Well, I don't know about the others, but I got that game Day 1 and loved it ever since
Twilight Princess was the best Zelda game the moment it came out (barring maybe Majora's Mask being elevated by incredible storytelling). It just has the best mechanics, it took Wind Waker but got rid of the things people didn't like about Wind Waker (though sadly that includes the art style :V).
I knew this fairly quickly, but I'm glad others have realized (possibly Skyward Sword and ALBW being opposite extremes in game design at points helped)

This list is based mainly around games I have been playing recently or have been wanting to play. Metroid Prime Hunters has been my most played game...probably since 2013, and before 2012, my most played from 2006-2011. Mario Kart 8 and Super Smash Brothers U, especially with their DLC, have been really great recent experiences that I decided to throw up there.
