Here's a story my 6th grade English teacher told me:

It was around the middle of July, my teacher was driving to Wal-Mart and saw a couple of homeless men by the side of the road. He's a good-natured person, so during his grocery shopping, he bought 2 large sandwiches. As he drove by the area, he stopped to get out of the car, and gave the sandwiches to the two hobos.
They threw them at him, told him they needed booze, not sandwiches, and went back to holding their "Please give money" signs.

So I guess I would give a homeless person a few dollars. But not food. Apparently some of them don't need it.

I give money. No more then $10 though. This way they have just enough to buy some food or "whatever" else they need to get thru the day. Most of my free time and extra money goes to helping homeless dogs because they can't work.

Pretend like I didn't hear him/her and keep on walking. I know that sounds fairly mean, but I'm sure most of them would just use my money for booze. Also, I've heard they can live on change.

I'd give him a small amount of change, like 5 $. But if it was hobo Mario, i would've said " Stay away from dem mushrooms Mario, i dont care if Toad says they're magic!!!!!!!!!!!"

That, and I don't believe in charity. I'd rather support something that makes a difference in the long run.

I feel so bad when i don't have money for them... but i don't have a source of income.
