I don't mind the pricing structure of the game. I don't fully understand what differentiates the 2 versions other than "casual" and "advanced" but around 80$ for 3 campaigns, of a Fire Emblem game no less, doesn't sound bad. I've played the GBA title that came with the Ambassador status and loved it. I liked Awakening but didn't quite see what all the fuss was about. My main concern would be which version to pick up and hopefully Nintendo will clarify what they've streamlined and omitted from the white version and what the 3rd campaign will contain.

There's a big difference between simplistic low cost games and cheap. He focused too much on the latter and unfortunately it seems to have bitten him in the butt. I loved Blok Drop U and thought it was a great little gem. Spikey Walls on the other hand...

As long as they aren't relying completely on this Zelda title showcasing the full potential of the console and the gamepad, much like they did with Skyward Sword and the Wii, than I am cool with a 2016 release. With the NX being shown in 2016, it'll most likely release in 2016 or 2017 which like Skyward Sword was severly glossed over by consumers as a too little too late title.

Sonic Lost World was awesome and had controls that may have been difficult at first but worked. By far not as slow as many think. But it too suffered from the kitchen sink mentality Sega has had with Sonic. I felt for the most part that the level design, especially the galaxy-esque tube design was awesome and lends itself to some great replayability. My biggest complaints with Lost World was the ingame tutorials that don't mention that you don't need to use the touchscreen and the awful story. Boom on the other hand... was the Sharknado of game design... albeit unintentionally. I love to play Boom just for the baffling design decisions alone.

I am so much happier with the Wii U now then where I was last year. Personally I feel the Wii U has a great library with lots to come. The influx of great Indies have taken over the lacking 3rd party support for me and there hasn't been a shortage of great games to play IMO. Granted I've held off on Wii U purchases this past month and this month as I'm still hoping for Mario Maker which will fullfill my gaming needs far longer than any game should. So if another drought appears there will still be great games to consider. And I'm fortunate enough to have a 3DS to fall back on when needed.

@sweetiepiejonus it is when you are talking about what the extent of new features are for this title that justify it costing more than twice as much as the previous dsi version. Minis march again had level creation and sharing and the gameplay seemed roughly the same. It wouldn't be fair to compare 10 Second Run on the dsi to Tipping Stars but it is absolutely legitimate to compare Tipping Stars to a previous entry in its own franchise. Especially one that it seems to borrow quite a lot in terms of execution and ideas from.

@KnightRider666 to be fair I don't own tipping stars and haven't played it so there very well may be a lot to it that justifies it's price. I just find it odd that a majority of the gameplay ideas and level editing/sharing that I've seen of tipping stars has been done in minis march again which had a much lower price point. So was the game originally intended to launch at the $10 price range and nintendo decided to sell it at what I consider to be a premium for a download only title and market it as a crossbuy promotion? anyone who has played the game please weigh in as not everyone has both a wii u and 3ds (tho I do)

Deadly Creatures. Dokapon Kingdom. House of the Dead: Overkill. Mushroom Men. Oopoona. Excitebots. Little Kings Story. Capcom Vs Tatsunoku. Boom Blox. Blast Works. Any initial Japan exclusive title. The Wii had an assortment of bizarre and ingenious titles even if the majority may be mediocre.

@Voodoo someone must be shadowing my account then and snatching them before people can see them. I will email you my last one, this is the one that was personally assigned to me by Nintendo so i'm not sure if you can use it. I also send you all 3 of the codes I gave out just incase like an idiot I double posted one of them. I prefer my monster hunter on a console so i'm skipping it on the 3ds anyway.

I think a bigger problem, for me at least, is NOT knowing what games will support what amiibos. Sure Mario and Zelda will be the most utilized in games, but Villager, Pit etc all cost the same and aren't, nor will they ever be, used in as many games.

Sonic Boom Rise of Lyric is a total mess of a game and yet it is oddly charming. Reminds me of the Ty the Tasmanian Tiger series in terms of technical quality, practically none, and in its characterization and plot, which can be very funny at times.

The need for not hitting the T rating is due to the 3ds. They couldn't market the game for "everyone" and would be limiting the massive 3ds audience. Remember, violence is ok but sex is a nono. You can beat a dog and a duck with a giant club but no butt cheeks. You can blow up a Princess in a house built by raccoons but a thong is out of the question!

@AVahne well they can try ebay. amazon. craigslist. etc... also there are numerous momnpop used game stores across the country that would love the business. Just because I can't afford to go to the movies doesn't excuse one for hitting up free downloads.I actually bought that dusty old nes on amazon and like 20 games for way under 100$.

@Kasplat using just the wiimote allowed you to smash with the dpad. I think most of us were hoping for dpad support when it came to the 3ds. Smash is best suited on a gamecube controller so the wii u version won't be an issue IMO. Nintendo hasn't done analogue sticks justice since the purple lunchbox...

From what I've seen of the game on youtube you cannot customize controls to the point of swapping out circlepad for dpad movement. You can switch the shield, grab, special, attack, and 2 jump functions between eachother. That always irked me about Brawl when using the classic or classic pro.

edit: Playing the demo I have had the misfortune of the circlepad giving a slight upward lift when going for a right or left smash and doing either a tap jump or upsmash instead. I've become more careful but those rare moments are bothersome. Also at times if I try to guide the circlepad back to neutral or don't lift my thumb after inputting a smash I've found myself turning around which is also irksome.

The game was going to be spoiled for the West regardless. 3 week difference in release will do that. Anybody who managed to avoid spoilers up till now deserves a cookie. The game was also spoiled on a daily basis with Sakurai's own posts. But for me, the hype isn't in who was included in the roster, the hype is in the hands on experience. Wishing I could cryogenically self till October 3rd!

@Ryu_Niiyama granted those that rely heavily on tier lists, which are always evolving as Jigglypuff can attest to that, tend to see lower tier characters like Ness as a wash. But it really depends how you play. Ness is a beast of an ally in team matches with his neutral B. Others like Sonic are killer in 4 player matches, for me at least. What will be interesting is to see how this Smash handles individual characters since the competitive scene was a point of discussion from the get go. No other Smash game ever considered that particular play style before and any tier lists that are created within the first 6 months are bound to change for years to come.

@Kaze_Memaryu recent demos of the game have an identical character select screen of the leaks image so the leak is real!

also one of the leaked modes was of a masterpiece esque mode but using assets from smash. we saw a pic of the day where balloon fight was recreated using the villager as an example. its rumored there will be a pacman, mario, and metroid stages recreated too.

@3dcaleb Yeah I saw that a little while ago today. I for one plan to day 1 a "new" 3ds so it won't upset me much. I hope we can choose regions when playing smash online as I wouldn't want to play against cstick using players because we don't get the new handheld this year.

I loved the multiplayer mode in B64! Some of the stages, like the grass field, the pyramid, the water station, were brilliant and were truly under appreciated for the time. Bomberman Hero is a disgrace which those horrendous ship stages.

@sinalefa I'm sure he'll update pics of the 3ds version to include tidbits and secrets that aren't immediately noticeable but the focus will definitely be on the wii u. also, why haven't there been trailers or pics available on the 3ds that showcase the actual 3d effect? or did I overlook them?
