Topic: If you could only game on one line of platforms (one company's home consoles, or one company's handheld consoles), which would you choose? (ie. Nintendo's handhelds, Sony's home consoles, PC, etc.)

I would choose Nintendo. I got to have Smash, Mario Kart, Zelda, etc. In Wii U terms, there are still plenty of indie games and a few notable 3rd party games. I think I would be fine with just a Wii U, honestly, and since it''s everything Nintendo in this case, the 3DS still has alot of gmaes, so going all Nintendo would be fine with me.

Touch choice for others, easy one for me.

  • I have zero use for portables, so that eliminates that entire segment.
  • The majority of my gaming is done on my PC.
  • My Wii U is a supplement to my PC, not the other way around.
  • I went without having a console of any kind for a decade, so going back to PC only wouldn't be very difficult.
  • Winner: PC

PC. It's not like I wouldn't be able to play any Nintendo games. Plus, I'd still be able to get most 3rd Party games. (Also, where's the love for mobile devices? )

Only one Handheld OR homeconsole, that's hard choice even for me...

I already decided years ago to stick only to Nintendo for gaming, they make some of my most favourite titles and in terms of time and money I already have an hard time keeping up with only an Handheld and a home Console. But having to choose only one even between Handheld and home console...

With the actual lineup I would prefer to keep my 3DS then my Wii U I guess, but in general it would be a very hard choice, almost heartbreaking XD

Nintendo handhelds are the reason I started gaming and keep me gaming. I hate consoles with their oh you gotta connect me to a TV, lol

While I currently use my 3DS more, there are so many upcoming Wii U titles I want that... Ugh, no, I can't pick, I reject your reality and substitute my own.

It's really tough, but I'd go with Nintendo handhelds. Both Nintendo and Sony have really affected me (Being someone who wants to get into game design at some point), and my favorite game of all time is a Playstation exclusive, but Nintendo has ultimately had the larger impact on me as a gamer. I can't imagine being a gamer without playing Pokemon, either!

I tend to split my time between Sony and Nintendo's home consoles. I'm not a big handheld person anymore.really. I have favourite franchises on both.
I think I'll say Sony home consoles (for today anyway) just because of the variety.

Nintendo home consoles.

I really love Playstation home consoles too, and they're probably pretty close to being on par with Nintendo home consoles, but as far as great games on PS go, they're just so monotonous nowadays. And please allow me to explain what I mean by that. There's too much realism, and not just visually. It's like every game on the system wants to translate realism- whether it's realistic sports, realistic racing, realistic shooters, realistic this, realistic that. And the games that aren't (like Knack and LBP), are pretty dull. AAA has gone downhill so much this past generation. But I will say this- if you're in the mood for a realistic game, PS is definitely the console to play on. I'm just not in the mood for realistic games more than 15-20% of the time I'm gaming. I bought a PS4 for games like Dragon Age Inquisition, Witcher 3, Batman Arkham, and Lords of the Fallen. And the console serves its purpose well for those types of experiences. Heck, that's what PS is best at. I just can't play those games all the time. Realism overload, if you know what I mean. I mostly like to play games that don't take themselves so seriously. Games that are light-spirited and all about the fun.

Thankfully though, I don't have to choose just one! I can enjoy the breadth of classics on Nintendo home consoles, while enjoying the fabulous titles on Nintendo handhelds, while enjoying a good AAA title on Playstation from time to time as well, and even indulge in the occasional Vita release. And Halo on Xbox- most definitely gotta have me some of that! Have people here seen the latest trailer for Master Chief? Like, WOW. That's how a remaster should be done. Nintendo and Sony should definitely be taking notes!

Ya, I'd definately have to say Wii U. This is coming from someone that seriously thinks Wii Party U is a good game, and Monster Hunter with it's Wii HD graphics is still great to play.
