As Daz has said, the standards have gone way up since we began this thing. The many we turned down recently were some really good writers, and even they couldn't make it through to the end cut down. As I said above, keep writing, and every time you see the link that goes up when we need a reviewer, be sure you send a sample in.
As for Cuttlefish, they're currently hosting the site, but due to the traffic going through the roof lately, we're going to have to get our own server soon.
@Corbie-I'm practing by making mine own reviews on my own blog. I have a computer and a cell phone. So when you guys have an opening for moderator or/and reviewer, I will be right on it.
EDIT:@Everybody else-Believe it or not, I would actually help the forums if given the chance. I would watch and get rid of useless topics, but the sad thing is you guys think I'm not serious. I also have a LOT MORE FREE TIME and I can watch the forums at least every day. I actually want to help Nintendo Life out, but that is up to the staff.

What an interesting concept. I cannot say I'd turn down money, but the occasional free game is nice -- when it's something I actually want (very rare)!
As to how I got here, well, I was in a classic Glasgow "greasy spoon" having a cheese and onion toastie when some guy walks by and drops a serviette on my table. On the back was written "meet me in the lane." Curious (and having little actual sense) I got the sandwich to go and thought I'd see what he wanted. After a blow to the head I woke up shackled to a laptop and the rest is history!

Well, at least it was delicious. Mmm, sugar...
