It's hard to get used to. I don't mean the vision itself, I'm fine, but the weird feeling of glasses on my head and having to push them up once in a while. Will I get used to wearing them to the point were I will feel weird not having it on? Do I just have to tough it out? My eyes are a bit soar but that should be normal? I use the TV a lot (Wii) and use the computer, so I guess I have to keep these on.

I've been wearing glasses for 9 years now and after awhile you'll never know their even there. Yes apparently your going to have to tough it out, lol. And yes it's always normal to have painful eyes after you get new glasses. You will always get a tad headache adjusting your eyes to new vision and it happens to all of us.

Just for you.

I'd hate to part with my glasses. Ever. You'd have to wrench them from my ears.

Looks pretty good! Trust me, you'll get used to them.

Lol,I know what you mean. I knew my vision was a bit weak before I got my glasses but had no idea how much they would improve things.

I've had the same pair of glasses for over two years and I still love them. Forget contacts.

If you are old enough and can afford lasik eye surgery than I say go for it.

I love not having to wear glasses anymore and don't miss the weight, fogging up, scratching, glare, and everything else that can come with using them.

your glasses look fine, KaiserGX. Don't worry, everything you're going through now sounds pretty normal -- just tough it out. You'll get used to your glasses in time (took me a month or two iirc), and as others have already said you'll get to a point where you forget they're even there, lol. not a good thing when you accidentally fall asleep with them on. :3

They do look quite good on you. Thick frames are always good.

You'll get used to the glasses (trust me, I wear them, too). In fact, you look good with them on. As for the glasses sliding, that does tend to get annoying. Get them adjusted regularly!

I'm back (for the moment)!

If they're slipping constantly, they might not be fit correctly to your head. You can go back to the eye doctor and they'll adjust them for you for no charge. (If they do try to charge you, you went to some real crooks, and should look elsewhere next time.)

If it's just every so often...well...that's just the nature of wearing glasses. But if it's all the time, they can tighten up the fit, and you should have them do so.

@Kaiser - I had that problem with my Gunnars (PC eyewear--reduces strain from LCD screens) since they were bought retail and never professionally adjusted. I'd look into getting one of those little glasses toolkits--most any drugstore has them (or grocery store drugstore area) and they're pretty cheap. I readjusted the nose pieces and now they don't slip anymore. I always prefer being able to adjust things myself, so if you're that kind of person, I'd recommend grabbing one of those little glasses kits.
