I agree Madworld and Portal both have a pretty awesome credits sequences. The Super Smash Bros. series has always been great because you can shoot at the credits. I liked the "ending" to Endless Ocean, too. It really makes you feel great once you find that legendary whale, and then you can just keep swimming as long as you want. As far as "normal" credits go, Twilight Princess' ending and the staff roll from Super Mario World are two of my favorites. Of course, the ending to every FF game is great just because of the music.
Yeah, for normal credits,, I have to say Alan Wake because I quite enjoyed the music they put in that game.
Sean Aaron ~ "The secret is out: I'm really an American cat-girl." Q: How many physicists does it take to change a light bulb? A: Two, one to hold the light bulb, the other to rotate the universe.
@kaiser Many things in Portal have become internet memes. The song makes much more sense if you've played the game through, it's sung in the voice of the Glados, the antagonist, and it's brilliant. It's not the ending BTW, it's the credits. That's why I say it's not a spoiler, just a great surprise. Watching that video first probably ruins it.
I've been trying to remember credits to games I've played that I really liked, it's tough, but Final Fantasy 8 comes to mind, with the "home movies". I know it's the red-headed step child of FF's but I loved it.
My favorites are The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, The World Ends with You, and almost every main-series Mario game (except Super Mario Bros., since it didn't have credits).
Smash Bros., WarioWare: DIY and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom. The best game credits I remember were from Tekken 3. I still hear that guy saying "The King of Iron Fist Tournament 3"!
If you watch Jaws backwards, it's a movie about a shark throwing up people untill they open a beach. -Currently playing: -Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies -Street Fighter IV -NEW PLAY CONTROL! Pikmin 2 -SoulCalibur II
I can't decide between 'Splosion Man and Portal. They were both pure genius.
Yeah, both of those endings really speak to how much fun their respective development teams had while putting their games together, and how much they truly loved their work.
I just have to post this video, even if it isn't an ending credit [youtube:MsKjxErG5rg]
