Very simple, now that it's getting close to the end of this year, I think it's high time we started thinking about -the last year of the world- next year! And to start, lets talk about the games that we're looking forward to playing next year (hopefully kinda maybe, assuming we all run into random pots of gold and a time machine). I suppose I'll start:
DS - SMT: Devil Survivor 2
3DS - Paper Mario, Tales of the Abyss
Wii: Xenoblade
Xbox 360 - Dragon's Dogma, Asura's Wrath
PS3 - Ni No Kuni, Tales of Graces f, Super Robot Taisen OG 2 (Import)
PSP - Grand Knight History
PS Vita - Wipeout 2048, Uncharted, Gravity Daze, Little Deviants
Realistically, though, unless I get another job, I can only afford to get Ni No Kuni and Tales of Graces f. And Xenoblade
The only game that I can think of is Borderlands 2. Really liked the first one even though it had boring mission structure and always took place in a desert of brown, light-brown, and occasionally gray.

I think I'm gonna get more games in 2012 than all the games mentioned in this thread so far
Of course, some of them will be game from the past few years that are (probably) cheaper now like Red Steel 2 and Mass Effect 2 and indy games etc.
But as for 2012 games: MGS3D Kid Icarus: Uprising Theatrhythm Paper Mario 3D Dragon Quest Rocket Slime 3D Luigi's Mansion 2 Rodea the Sky Soldier Retro City Rampage Sonic 4 Episode 2 Xenoblade Chronicles Rhythm Heaven Wii Mass Effect 3 NeverDead Mario Tennis Last Story (hopefully) Darkstalkers 2 Wii U Killer Freaks from Outer Space* Phoenix Wright vs. Layton* Bravely Default* Time Travelers*

Kid Icarus: Uprising for 3DS (along with 3D Classics: Kid Icarus on eShop), and hoping for TLoZ: A Link to the Past remake. Final Fantasy XIII-2 and Final Fantasy X HD on PS3. Xenoblade Chronicles on Wii, with the hope of The Last Story and Pandora's Tower releasing here in North America too. Anxiously awaiting word of Wii U's release date and what will be available at launch (prays for New Super Mario World).
Retro City Rampage, Paper Mario 3D, and Xenoblade Chronicles. That's pretty much it.

Ni no kuni, paper Mario, luigi's mansion, heroes of ruin, ffxiii-2. Those are pretty much the highlights at this point. And I suppose twisted metal is on my radar too. And I hope Bastion ends up on the PSN.
