[16:43] James: I should learn these site rules more clearly
[16:44] LztheBlehBird: James doesn't know the rules? For shame!!!
I liked the feature honestly. If people were talking about something specific to their region, then it was easy to tell at a glance. Now it's just a hassle.
You're right, it's way too much trouble to click a link and open a new page, I don't have enough time for that >:[

When you want to see more than just one, it is, yes.
@tbd Ah I didn't know. If it makes your life easier, so be it! :3

I find it difficult to understand people using flags for anything other than the the positive reasons most of us have for liking to see flags visible. However, I think it's a real bummer for TBD and her colleagues to have to waste their personal time policing the comments and forums, so I have to change my "YES" opinion to a "NO".
Current 3DS games: Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time, Super Mario 3D Land, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, Super Street Fighter IV 3D, Ridge Racer 3D.
The flags were based on where you are not what nationality you are so there for since you live in the UK you would have the Union Jack beside your name.

@Tasuki: nowhere did it ever say that you had to put where you were located in the world as your country setting in your profile. we had users pretending to be from all kinds of places, all across the world, lol. Mok's question still stands.
@Mok: honestly, that's up to you to decide. follow your heart and go with whatever feels most comfortable. :3

Ooop my bad I should have said it more clearly what I meant to say was that the flags show up as to what you put on your profile as to where you are located sorry bout that confusion. If you put Sweden in your profile than you would have the Swedish flag if you put UK than you will have the Union Jack if you put USA you will have the Stars and Stripes etc, etc.
I vote yes, but we had flags here? I only saw and joined here after the update, I had no idea until I saw this forum.

Wow, people. I got discouraged as the first few comments were "no"s, but then lots of "yes"es started appearing too. It helped me understand world culture as it relates to gaming. I doubt NLife will reverse their decision, but I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who misses them.

Yeah, I guess that could be an issue. If it were me, I'd probably put Antarctica on my profile just for laughs...
I miss the flags, and it isn't a convenient work-around to simply open up someone's profile, because at least for me, the act of opening someone's profile takes too long just to simply look at the country they have chosen as their nation of residence.
What we could have is a profile revamp - the one that appears to the side of a forum post. It could include information like location (maybe we can type in what we want, and those of us from the UK can finally declare our constituent country - not that it should lead to any sort of sectarianism, of course) like most other forums, but not neccesarily forum awards like destructoid (this user is a vegetarian - +100 points).
This, and also the ability to type up a proper profile for your page.
it would be nice for somethings in region related topics, but other then that did it much matter,we all live on the same planet...or do we!? (peeps out the window)
