Topic: Will you buy less DSiWare in anticipation of getting a 3DS?

Since there probably will not be an option to transfer content purchased via download from your DSi to your new 3DS (next year), do you think you will buy less DSiWare until you get the new console?

Absolutely. I'm only going to buy the bare essentials, and even then I'll be hesitant.

As awesome as the 3ds looks it won't stop me buying the awesome games on dsiware.

I've halted all digital Nintendo purchases and am hesitant on physical purchases as well.

As a matter of fact, yes. I'm focusing more on physical game purchases for the time being.

I stopped buying DSiWare games when the 3DS was announced. I plan on selling my DSi toward the purchase of the 3DS. There is really no reason for me to keep investing money into something that I don't plan on keeping. Plus, I suspect Nintendo will not have a data transfer feature for DSiWare games. The only DSiWare game that I still want to get is Shantae. I really hope that it comes out on the 3DS too.

I'll only download something if it's really good. (hopefully Shantae)

Not really, I will get a 3DS and I will get DSiware games and I will use both DS and I will enjoy them.

I have always been careful not to buy too many DSiWare games. If they are not transferable to the 3DS then I will not buy a 3DS, this situation has already stopped me buying the DS XL.

Yes. Already sold the DSi, as matter of fact. Not that abandoning DSiWare was hard to do by any means.

Hey @Adam that could be a smart move. Now you can get an iPhone or an Android and enjoy mobile gaming without such a crazy restriction.

I am leaning 2wards the PC. Steam recently gave me Portal for "free" and then I bought Half Life 2 for 6euros (about 800pts) thats got to be a million times better value than Nintendo Ware provides AND I can play on any of my PCs. I just hope Steam moves to Linux soon, and WAKE UP Nintendo before its too late.

Of Course Im still going to buy DSI games, the 3ds is not coming out for almost another year! And since games are not tranferable might as well keep all my games on my DSI, its not like there going to be in 3D, as a matter a fact I think that 3dsware will be available for 3ds only and wont support dsiware. Why bother having low powered apps on a 3DS, when you can have high powered apps?

Sorry but i need to point out the pink elephant in the room... DSiware sucks!!! everything is overpriced, its hard to browse and find cool content, and its ridiculously slow.. Im not saying the software it provides is bad, Im saying the actual store is poorly designed.. I choose not to buy DSiWare games until it is fixed.. or until the unbelievably awesome 3DS comes out
