That is a good question. I have to say that I am going to keep my DSi XL so if there are good games for DSiWare I will get them.

I usually sell my old systems for the new ones but I really like the big screens of the DSi and it is already my guitar tuner so I'm keeping it

I just hope that Nintendo does a firmware update similar to the Wii so I can actually use the 8 GB SD card that I have in my DSi XL.

I get the impression that most people definitely plan on buying less DSiWare because of this issue. I hope Nintendo is paying attention, though I know full well that they aren't.

Yep. I bought a $20 gift card, and used 10 for my wii. But as soon as the news came out for the 3DS and the 3DSWare, I thought I should save if I do get it.

I miss having a chatroom that was always in beta.

its not like i will throw my dsi to the garbage can after i buy a 3DS, also, when i get my 3DS i so not taking it everywhere like i do with my dsi. so since the dsi will still be my "take everywhere" system until it breaks or something, why would i want to stop buying games for it?

It is not affecting me becase I won't be able to change my DSiWare games to the 3DS, it is afecting me because I want lots of Wii games + some DS games + the 3DS + 3DS games (oh god) so.. what is affecting me is the money, im trying to spend less points and buying only the really good games, so I just delete like 5 DSiWare games of my wishlist. I only have 2500 points left, and I hope them to be the last ones of the year, anyways who knows. But I got and idea, im selling all my Gameboys and all the gameboys games and well, trying to win a little money

It will probably not affect me. The DS has an insanely good library of games so I do not plan on getting a 3DS for at least two years after launch. Therefore, I will buy and play DSiWare if it is still supported. Personally, I think this platform will continue to be supported by both Nintendo and third parties because Nintendo will price the 3DS higher than many people will be willing to pay, especially those who fall into the casual gamer category.

Well, your right, I change myself from DS games to DSi ware because I find them alot cheaper then the normal games (as you know a DS game cost 60$ where I live, and a Wii game cost 80$ or more) I can have a DSiWare game that can be pretty good for just 2 or 5$, but after downloading alot of trash, and really short games, I see that is better to pay more for a good game, than less for a bad game. So I got like 2500 points left and im looking carefully in what to spend them, but sometimes the money make changes, With so lots of Wii games coming, the 3DS and their games I need to spend more money. Thats why im selling one of my gameboys and alot of games, and whe I buy the 3DS I will sell the other one, and the rest of the games. For luck my birthday is near the christmas (2 months later) so I will choose like Wii and DS games for christmas and the 3DS for my birthday, but oh well. As I said before, I hope these 2500 points left to be the last of the year, after that I think I will change myself to 3DSWare because we already know, the price of the 3DS games will be like the Wii prizes. And I also decided im not gonna buy games where I live, but my dad flight each 15 days to Panama, and there is much cheaper. So Happy here!

@warios woods it depends on if they're arcade style or adventure style games.
I will keep my DSiware games forever.
@MakeMyBiscuit- 8GB doesn't run on the DSi? It's supposed to run up to 32GB.
