As has just been announced in this month's Nintendo Life podcast, we're going to be dishing out some shiny statues to the best games released in 2009, and we want you to get involved too.

But- But I haven't tried Muramasa, RE:DC, NSMBW or LKS yet. How am I supposed to vote in the Wii category?
When is the last day of voting?

The last day of voting is December 31st, to make sure everyone has their chance to play and vote for 2009's best games

Are there different categories? Like DS GOTY, WiiWare GOTY, Wii GOTY......ect.

The staff will be voting in different categories, but for reader's it's just one choice - the absolute best game released in 2009. It's a tough one!

I voted NSMBW. Brilliant game that's an absolute blast multiplayer.

Muramasa is a great game but it isn't my pick for Game of the Year. My avatar should be a clear indication of which game I voted for.

I've had a lot of people ask if this is just for Wii games - you can vote for any game released on a Nintendo console in 2009. That includes DS, WiiWare, DSiWare and Wii, so don't feel you have to pick a Wii game.

Also, there is only one Reader's Choice Game of the Year Award for the best overall game - there are no subcategories for WiiWare, DSiWare etc. One vote, one choice - use it well!
