We also won't get Duck Hunt. They, again, don't want to mess with Virtual Console games. As such, while a Wii version/sequel COULD work, Duck Hunt will never be released under the Virtual Console banner, because it requires support of a NES Zapper. No Zapper, no duck shooting.
Right, because you could never shoot the way you do in face raiders, right?
Come to think of it, That'd be pretty cool if ducks replaced the faces. It'd be more fun trying to hit a duck zooming around your room. I will agree that it's pretty unlikely though.
I'd bet anyone a fresh carrot that we're going to get Rad Racer. Maybe an apple too for Mach Rider. It seems Nintendo is sticking to some of the launch titles for the NES.
EDIT: Personally I find that source suspicious, but I'm liking the looks of the Kirby game. Although for some Reason I almost feel let down by the Mario one. I like Mario 3, but I find it hard to play Mario 3 for that long. Plus we already have games like that on the NES side of things. Oh well, 3 more chances...

Thaaaaaanks for noticin' me.

@Tare: As I had said, yes, they could remake/sequelize (atta way to make up a word, bro2dragons!) Duck Hunt with a new control method. But it would not be a Virtual Console game. It'd be a completely different experience from that which the NES Zapper offers. The NES Virtual Console games will no more include Zapper games than they will Power Pad games, Power Glove games or R.O.B. games. I'm sorry to disappoint you.

Ohmygosh, I'm ecstatic! I LOVE those games! This just made my night!
Now for Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga and Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World. If I get those....I just...would be very, very happy.

I'm not surprised by the announcement... but I'm also not convinced. That source sounded shaky at best.

Did you actually read that e-mail? It was so full of errors it's hard to know whether those games were listed in error or whether it was the rough draft for the press release and they changed their mind about which games they were going to give us or inform us about. I hope we get those games, but I'd hardly say it's "confirmed."

They seem like the kinds of games Nintendo would give us, but since people say it's so shady-looking I guess I'll hold my excitement until they're 100% confirmed.

Predicted Kirby & The Amazing Mirror and Super Mario Advance 4.
So that leaves:
Donkey Kong Country (1,2 or 3) (Probably 3)Wario Land 4Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap
edit: Those rumours aren't being believed? Hmm I thought they had been proven......I really wouldn't be surprised if those two games are on the list though.

Supposedly the kirby game is confirmed, but the latest Mario addition is not.

Yes, Kirby is confirmed! I already have played Mario Advance 4, so that's no big deal.

Is there a way to contact Nintendo to give them our thoughts?

@Matillion: no guarantee they'll ever even consider anything a regular customer has to say, but you can always try: http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/webform.jsp
