I could have sworn it was Tom Nook when I saw the header picture first. I thought somebody had hacked a mystery dungeon game and put Animal Crossing characters in it.

Never heard of this game before, shooters aren't really my thing but we'll see.....

Dizzard commented on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U European Release D...:

Doesn't mean much to me since I don't have a Wii U just yet. (but I'll probably get one before the Mewtwo promotion)

I'll be getting Alpha Sapphire instead. Still great news for those getting Smash Wii U on day one!

Dizzard commented on Nintendo of Europe Distributes Free Halloween ...:

It looks really good in action. (nicer than I expected) There's music that plays and the cats eyes move when you scroll through the menu icons.

(Is music playing typical of these themes? I've only had the basic ones until now.)

Dizzard commented on Junichi Masuda Talks Pokémon Snap and Listeni...:

I'd love a new Pokémon Snap. It's one of my most fondly remembered Pokémon spinoffs.

The Wii U (or even the 3DS) would be a perfect fit for the game.

Personally I'd love an open world free roaming Pokemon Snap rather than an on rails one. (or at least various maps you can roam freely around)

I want to go with the XL. I've never had an XL since I always dive in first thing and get the regular 3ds, and the upgrades never seemed important enough to get the new model. Until now.

I want a larger screen for Smash Bros, also for Xenoblade Chronicles.

Here here!

Absolutely agree. I played both of the Kyle Hyde games and really enjoyed them. It really was awful to see Cing go under.

Nintendo doesn't have anything in that genre right now, I think it would be a smart move to start using the Kyle Hyde IP.

Dizzard commented on New Fighter for Super Smash Bros. to be Reveal...:

@kurtasbestos I think it should be noted that this is Sakurai we're talking about here. It wouldn't be the first time he's slipped in a relatively obscure character.

Besides, if there's any obscure series that deserves this it's definitely Xenoblade Chronicles.

Now that we know X is another Xenoblade Chronicles game it makes even more sense.

(I'd love Isaac too....but it seems like this is Shulk time to shine)

Dizzard commented on Miyamoto Thinks That Nintendo Are in a Genre o...:

I think there's still a big difference between being "cool" and being "serious" though. You can make a deep, thoughtful game without being some sort "cool" or "hip" cliché.

I'm not as interested in Miyamoto's work these days for this reason. He's probably the reason Paper Mario went down a route that didn't appeal to me. Contrary to what he's saying here I feel like Sticker Star made the series less "goofy" and "odd", and more....." Standard".

Dizzard commented on Talking Point: New Ideas, Not New IPs, Are The...:

I think it helps if it isn't Mario though, I've burnt out pretty badly. I get it, he's a big deal but that doesn't mean he has to be trotted out constantly.

The main reason I love new IPs from Nintendo is that it's generally a guarantee it'll be something new and fresh, whereas with existing IPs they can still feel samey if the idea isn't extremely fresh. It's like in the Splatoon interview where they said they couldn't see any existing characters doing what the squids can do. Like how you couldn't really imagine other Nintendo IPs doing what Pikmin does.

I'm not saying existing IPs are bad, far from it. Nintendo has the best back catalogue around and very rightly keeps going back to them. That said, balance is important too. Creating 1 or 2 major new IPs every 10-15 years is a good thing. Nintendo shouldn't be afraid to do it if it feels right and they're prepared to put their weight behind it. There's no point making a new IP and expecting it to sell itself right out of the gate.

Personally Splatoon was my highlight of E3 and Codename: Steam looks very interesting. So I'm more than ready to lock heads with anyone who thinks they shouldn't exist.

I feel like people are being too harsh on this game. Normally when people here hate on a game for being a copy, said game is always something that was probably thrown together in an afternoon. Whereas with this game I feel like it's more of a homage than just lazy copy pasting.

I suppose I'm just more attached because I've known about this game prior to this article. I watched a preview playtest of this game a while ago.

Dizzard commented on Poll: What Did You Think of Nintendo's E3?:

I was super duper impressed with Nintendo this year, they really caught me by surprise.

I have to rank my top 6 because I can't vote just one....

1. Splatoon, 2. Xenoblade Chronicles X, 3. Codename: STEAM, 4. Pokemon ORAS, 5. Fantasy Life, 6. Smash Bros Reveals.

Bayonetta 2 and some of the Indies were very impressive too. Also the news that Shin Megami Tensei IV is coming to Europe.

The treehouse live was brilliant too, watching it gave me some insight into games from genres I wouldn't usually consider playing. Bayonetta 1 & 2 looks like a blast.

Dizzard commented on Review: Tomodachi Life (3DS):

I'm feeling really conflicted about this. €39.99 feels like a does this game compare to New Leaf in terms of the amount of content?

Yet I'd love to play a game where the Miis actually have personality...

Dizzard commented on Nintendo Download: 5th June (Europe):

Tomodachi Life sounded interesting.....but I'm really not sure I want to pay €39.99 just to watch a bunch of Miis do random things. Just doesn't seem to be worth quite that much to me. I've paid less for experiences I immensely enjoyed.

Something like €20-€25 would have been far far more reasonable.
