I was suprised to see a headline on destructoid claiming that Vita outsold 3DS in Japan's weekly charts.
When I clicked on the article, they said Vita was on top with around 50,000 units sold, with 3DS XL in second with around 44,000 units, and 3DS in third with around 29,000.
Umm, a little math for Destructoid, 44,000 + 29,000 > 50,000.
Personally, I'm glad Vita got the uptick in sales (good for competition and all that), but why seperate the sales of 3DS & the XL for the purpose of a misleading article? Wouldn't it have been just as effective to say "Vita Gets an Encouraging Boost in it's Homeland"?
That must be some sort of mistranslation, because the 3DS usually outsells the Vita by something like 7 - 1.

When ever I hear about them they are trying to down Nintnedo in some way, so them doing this isn't surprising.

They put 3DS and 3DSXL in different categories.
The Vita technically has two models as well(Wifi and 3G), so why add those and not both 3DS and XL?

Because such a unlikely and surprising headline causes more people to click on the story thus giving them more traffic. If people start to get angry about it and comment on it then it gets even more traffic. Such sites arent concerned with putting out quality articles most of the time, they're just interested in getting the most viewers they can.

But it is tempting for me to buy a vita and import several project DIVA games... Hatsune Miku in music games makes everything better.
