I'm worried its awesomeness will blow my brain out of my head.
You survived E3 so I doubt it.
Oh, but you weren't there when I was rushed to the Emergency room. And it's happened before, so the hole in my head increases the chances of my brain coming out.
Actually, debates start from raising valid questions about something. (Manythreadsalreadyexistwhichdothis.) Arguments start from negativity. I'm pretty sure that creating a topic specifically and only about things to worry about is just forcing skepticism about the 3DS. This thread pretty much amounts to, "oh no, it might not be perfect! Time to hate!"
Also, I think that if portable games can be like console games then they're that much closer to perfection. Yes, they should take advantage of being able to be carried around anywhere (that's what StreetPass and suspend saves are for), but the closer a 3DS game can play like a console game, the better it will play. I don't want new 3DS games which play like old GB games, I want them to play like Wii/360/PS3 games.
Uhhh... BATTERY LIFE. It's the only aspect Nintendo beat around the bush about addressing with the 3DS (unlike their past handhelds where they bragged about it). At least a charger is included but there hasn't been a confirmed number of hours the battery lasts so far.
They already confirmed its battery life is the same as the DSi. Plenty long!
Portable games need to me more objectve, so you can play it on the go... shorter plays.
I don't think this really applies anymore now that you can always use some form of temporary save or sleep mode, or even just save where ever and whenever you want. I play RPGs on the go all the time, despite the fact that few other games require a greater time investment, and it's only been a problem once (Had to skip 5 lengthy story scenes that were apparently very important to the plot because I hadn't saved in an hour and a half. It was a Square-Enix game, so I probably should've known better to have brought that one with me anyways. All these years, and they still haven't quite figured out that save points suck, especially when there's only one save point in the entire game!).
My other biggest worry: How long will I have to wait to get it considering all the games I will need to get even after Christmas (Portal 2, Dead Space 2, Ghost Trick)

"similar to", not "same as". They've also said we should expect to charge the 3DS more often than the DSi, hence the charging cradle. But I do agree, not a thing to worry about the 3DS. It'll last for hours and hours.
I'm worried about online too. I won't play the 3DS much if the online isn't robust. I have a Ipad for gaming on the go and TV consoles for home. I barely touch my DSi these days, and I pinpoint it down to the terrible online experience.
Whoa! Not long ago, when playing my dsi, which i sooo enjoyed,my girlfriend played her psp.Everytime i looked at her psp,i so wished the ds graphics were as beautiful.I deceided to swap my dsi for a psp,but soon i regretted it!No fun at all!No games i liked!AAARGH!So,i prayed to the son of God(Shigeru Miyamoto)for a new DS,WITH better graphics....and voila:3DS!I want a DSI atm,but i am patient, because i save all my money for the revolution!I even consider to begin a 3DS club in my area,THAT enthiousiast am i!!!!
@y2josh No need to worry, Nintendo have already admitted that online is their weak point, and they have promised the 3DS online will be much better.
The only thing I'm worrying about the 3DS is whether I'll have enough money to buy it.
They promised the Wii would be a good online experience after the GC missed the boat entirely.... And c'mon.
Nintendo's also done very little to allay my concerns about online. From the press conferences and demos, as far as I can tell the 3DS has a minimum level online experience. Better than the DSi, yes, but that was below minimum. Minimum is hardly 'robust' or full-featured.

Let's wait until the 3DS comes out before we start judging the online. I mean, we don't even really know what it's like, do we?
