Topic: The Next Nintendo Hand-Held

As the title says, I want to talk about the next Nintendo hand-held

I know, I know, "The 3Ds JUST came out!!!?!!?!! Why do you want a new hand-held"

I won't be getting mine until June 11, or around then, so yah..

So...I'll start.

The Codename

-Do hand-helds have them? If so, this one should be called "Project Life"

Hardware

-It will have hardware capabilities that pass up the NGP!

Looks

-It will look just like a Ds.

-The inside will have no screen.

-There will be lots of buttons, and other stuff for settings; etc.

-There will be a helmet that comes with it that makes virtual reality possible.

-No wires; wireless connections

Other Stuff

-With the helmet on it will be like you are inside the game!

-All of your senses work inside.

-The helmet will scan your body, kinda like Kinect, but way more advanced

-You can punch, drive, and...other things.

-Imagine playing GTA lol

-If you wreck, get shot, or something, in a game, you will get a tiny shock

-Smello-Vision!

-Fighting games work like real life. You learn how to fight and the game recognizes how you fight.

-Games, like The Sims, and other simulations, will have you walking around, cooking, cleaning, woohooing (hehe ), talking, and so much more!

It will include 4 screens and 3 analog sticks. With 6 buttons.

Nintendo didn't want the idea of 3D glasses. What makes you think they would have a HELMET!? Until Nintendo can make "helmet free virtual reality" it ain't gonna happen. Plus the next Nintendo handheld likely won't even be out until 2016 or 2017 so its a little early to be thinking possibilities in 2011.

I'm pretty happy with the 3DS. I'd just like bigger screens, higher capacity battery, higher quality camera with flash, and fix the ridiculously floppy hinge.

I don't even want to hold it in my hands. I want them to implant it into my brain, and I want to play it with my feet and my nose.

I'm fine with that, as long as the installation isn't as painful as the EyePhone. D:

and yes YES rounded angles. the 3ds gives me this problem: i get pressure points on my hands and they hurt a little after an hour, and it gets red and uncomfortable after 2... geez

In 2006 I was speculating with a friend of mine on what the next DS would be given we were doing units on that sort of thing and the DS was awesome. This was before the 3DS or even DSi and our conclusion was that there was no need for anything more than what the DS was..... except maybe some more graphical power and a 16:9 top screen. I suggested motion controls but we both concluded that it wasn't such a good idea on a portable because you are also moving the screen. I changed my mind on motion controls after playing New SMB Wii and going back to New SMB DS.

So now we have the 3DS which is pretty much a DS with more graphical power, a 16:9 top screen, 3D and motion controls. What more could I want? I litterally can't think of much else you could want to do with it. More Power? Yeah, A better screen? OLED would be nice, More battery Life? yup...... but excluding the extra power you could do all that on a revision. I don't know shrugs

I can't even think about this at the moment. It would possibly degrade me expectations for my 3DS.

i think the 3DS still has about 6 good years ahead of it. that is saying that the full potential of the hardware will be tapped in half way through its life span or earlier
