Why do people hate Reggie now? I remember back when he was first introduced at E3 2004, as the "kick ass and take names" VP of Sales and Marketing. People cheered at that moment.

Now he's just a punching bag. What happened during that timespan to make people turn a complete 180?

for the record, I NEVER liked him, there weren't many memorable ad campaigns during his tenure in sales and marketing, and he's done a horrendous job as president, I just want him to be replaced already, it's nothing personal, I'm sure he's a nice guy, I just don't think he can do the job

Yeah, people were pretty upset about that, as well as many other games that were failed to be localized. I personally like the man, he does a great job speaking for the company, I think. I look forward to his conference at E3 each year. Is he the best possible president for NoA? No. But he's definitely decent, and there have been a good number of successes since he came in.

Most of all, though, I think he just makes a good scapegoat for many. There have been a lot of games that people wanted localized that didn't happen, but it's not all his fault. People don't realize that he has other people working below him but on a close level, and he can't run NoA on his own. I'd bet some money that a lot of "his" failures were actually at the fault of some of his subordinates, and I'd bet even more money that the majority of those "failures" had logical reasoning behind them that they just failed to properly explain to us. Not to mention that there are some things that NoJ can intervene in. Reggie controls a lot, but if NoJ says no, that does it. It's a no.
