This looks superb. Love the Hawaii-style environments and the fact that it seems to ditch the whole top-down thing. Let's hope they don't just show areas that happen to have this in the trailer again. The big city (Poké-Honolulu?) looks really good. Textures still seem a little rough around the edges here and there, but overall this looks more detailed than the sixth generation games. This will probably be a water-rich region similar to Hoenn, but I hope the ocean routes will be a little less confusing and boring.
Love the new Pokémon:
Rowlet
Type: Grass-Flying
I don't think we have had an unevolved dual-type starter since good ol' bulbasaur. This little owl is probably my favourite out of these three starters. Being part Flying-type should give it an advantage against those early game Bug-types that its previous counterparts never had.
Litten
Type: Fire
This feline Pokémon has a cool stripe pattern. I am guessing it will evolve into a tiger Pokémon.
Popplio
Type: Water
A nice touch is its round nose, making it look like it balances a ball on its face. Thos could become a Water/Ice-type later on.
Sun lion legendary
Type: I am putting my money on Fire
This guy looks totally badass with those spiky mane. Reminds me of Entei and Pyroar.
Moon legendary
Type: Dark/Flying seems plausible here.
What is this? A bat? A wyvern-like thing? Look at those crescent moon-shaped wings.
Definitely 7th gen. November can't come fast enough. Six months is too long to wait for the next Pokemon game. Hope there is some other great games coming out between September and then. So it can make the wait more bearable.
Want: Harvest Moon: One World, Story of Seasons: Pioneering Town, Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury
Finished the Alola Dex.
Now playing New Horizons, Wrath of White Witch and Sword
These starters are awesome. I wasn't sold at first and they looked weird but seeing them moving convinced me instantly. Especially litten, who doesn't give a ****.
I'd probably get this but I never got a chance to properly check out 5th or 6th gen yet...
It's kind of hard to tell what the Legendaries' types will be...
The moon bat could be a number of combinations. I could see Psychic, Dark, or Flying being its type. Possibly even Fairy too becuase of Moonblast or Dragon since it could be a bat-dragon like Noivern.
The sun lion obviously will be a Fire-type, but I'm not sure what else. The bat seems like a dual type so it would be unfair if the lion is solely a Fire type right? I'm thinking maybe Fire and Psychic.
So hyped! Hoping Popplio doesn't get the Delphox treatment.
I think the Moon legendary is either Dark/Fairy, Dark/Psychic, or Dark/Flying. We just had Dark/Flying with Yveltal though, so I'm going to say it's one of the first two.
The boxart is a bit boring. The Pokemon look like they're actually running out of ideas for new species but okay. I still think I want Sun version and I think I want Popplio, but Litten is pretty appealing as well.
I wish they did a Bear instead of a Sea Lion but at least they're cute. I can't wait to see how people compare these to the rest of the starters.
Also since the Grass one is part Flying, I wonder if the Fire and Water types will gain a second type, and what they'll end up being. Fire/Dark and Water/ice? Seems predictable but I hope not D;
