It really effects how much depth there is. Definitely.

If you add me, I need to at least know you or I won't add you back.

Hey, quick question:
Does it seem like the level of the depth slider really affects how much depth there is, or does it just seem like once teh 3D is on, its on?

Um to me the depth slider have great affects when you turn it down and when you turn it up. I could tell the difference quickly.

This is the closest topic I've been able to find to my question, so here goes.

After getting a larger than usual paycheck for doing some extra work, I finally caved and bought a 3DS (I finally realized that I kept downplaying the system because I couldn't afford it, though in my defense I will say that my experiences with it at Best Buy were truly terrible). I played it a lot yesterday but my eyes felt very strained yesterday and they still do this morning after a full night of sleep. Should I keep playing it in 3D and allow my eyes to adjust, or should I stick to playing it in 2D? I already mostly play Ocarina in 2D because the 3D just seems to distract me, but I enjoy playing the quicker games like Face Raiders and ExciteBike in 3D.

At the moment my right eye feels strained and I'm getting occasional pop-up of smilies and other things on my computer screen. I know Corbie and others have said to allow your eyes to adjust. I'd love to hear what others have experienced as far as your eyes either adjusting or not adjusting.

If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.

Yes it does but depends on the game the level of depth you get.

If I was only ever able to have Monster Hunter and EO games in the future, I would be a happy man.

the answer to my original question was definitely yes, your eyes do get used to it over time. just start slow, keep the 3D slider low and once you're' comfortable with that you can slide it up some more. as long as your eyesight isn't causing a problem (wear your glasses if you have them) you should get over it soon. then again, there's nothing wrong with playing games in 2D. the visual quality does degrade a little in 3D and if the game doesn't benefit from depth much it may be best to leave it off.
