And it seems another one gives the hunting horn a player designed!

Edit: hah the fanclub mission for the horn is ridiculously easy to solo, the tetsucabra did most of the work itself.

I finally made my Poogie King hunting horn...

But it's really...

Bad.

It's weak, the notes are pretty basic and it can't be upgraded ;_;

All that time I spent collecting kutku beaks...

@MorphMarron Yeah, it seems to be a recurring theme in Monster Hunter DLC where most of the cool looking armor/weapons are weak. Though not all of the DLC stuff are weak like the Master Sword and the Palico costumes.

I hope the fanclub hunting horn is better.

Although I will probably need help to get that one. Anyone want to hunt later?

Hey @Morphmarron how does the hunting horn hold up when questing solo? As an outsider looking in it seems more suited to support others than anything, but what do I know, I don't use the horn

Well, it's not exactly a combo based weapon, it only has a few basic moves, but its raw damage is usually very high and with the self-buff song they all can use, it becomes a really versatile weapon.

But you need to be fast at dodging because there's no way to protect yourself with it and the monsters love to target hunting horners.

Their usability depends mostly on the colors of the notes it has and the situation. So it's best to have several.

So as long as you have the resources and know when to move out of the way, you'll have no problems using it all alone.

It's a common misconception that the HH is solely a support weapon. In reality, the swings do serious raw damage, as well as Exhaust/KO. On top of that, the buffs are not useless solo. Have a horn with a Defense Up L song? You can eat for Attack instead! Have a horn with an HG Earplugs song? Don't bother making an armor set with the skill! You're also able to attack at all times since you don't need to sheathe. The basic HH song makes you move faster than with any other weapon drawn.

Yeah this quest is no joke, came close twice but failed. We need like two (probably G level) hunters in the room.

I need to hit Athena's ASS and see what I need to do to get an Awakening/HG Earplugs/Mind's Eye/Sharpness+1 set. Give me some sort of goal to strive for other than Apex monsters.
