I bet everyone who is going to folder everything are going to unfolder most things after a month or so.

Very true.
It's a bit of a pain when I download a new game and I have to move it one spot at a time past my trailers and demos and everything until it's in the right spot.

That's true, so very true. Buying new things is painful for people like me who needs to put everything in its place.
Now with the folders we'll just need to drag any new software to it's folder and presto

The eShop has gone down for maintenance... the update could be coming any time soon. I honestly can't wait... mucking around with folders for the rest of the week.

The sad thing is that you can't even swap positions on the Wii Menu, let alone move aside.

I'm not sure... I kind of like the gigantic wall of fun things that greets me on the menu right now. I'll try categorizing and folder-izing, but part of me doesn't want to give up the crazy toybox feel that my folderless, Ambassador, & download heavy 3DS currently offers.

Same, until my wall gets filled up I don't think I'll be using folders anytime soon.

It was great? No, no it wasn't. And yes you could move channels, but you couldn't easily have them swap positions the way you can on the 3DS. And on both 3DS and Wii you can drop one somewhere to have it move the rest of them down/right a row/column.

Also, I wrote this on GoNintendo:

Exciting? While I am looking forward to those folders, I wish you could assign the icon from one of the tiles in a given folder to be the folder's icon, if that makes any sense. It could be differentiated by a slightly different background color, like light gray instead of white for instance. That would be more interesting than just the first letter of the folder to me.

Other people pointed out Nintendo could also solve this "problem" by giving you preset icons to choose from, such as an NES one, a Mario one, etc. or by just letting you make each folder a different color.

I think they're talking about the fact that if you moved a channel on to another channel it would revert back to its old position in the menu, along with no ability to slide it. Therefore you had to manually move all channels over to one side to free up one slot to move that one channel into place. It's absolutely annoying and a complete ass ache.

@Oddy Well it said in the video "Settings" on the folder, now this could simply be the manual to find out how a folder works and to assign it a name. But you never know there might be extra options in there. It's not long to go now, just a few more hours.

Speaking of the update, the eShop has been down for hours, I was going to buy something off there but now I can't... Hopefully this'll mean the update will be up soon...

Wait you can have a folder inside another folder? O:

An infinite amount of folders inside folders which then go into even more folders... however I doubt you can create folders in folders. But we'll see, eventually.

Actually, just arrange them alphabetically. That'll fix every problem you'd have.

I'll probably have all the 3DSiWare games in one folder, and then I'll arrange the rest by franchise

I have no idea. I'm thinking of general groupings occasionally, but since we're only limited to using 1 letter to label our folders, Imma have to get creative... or not bother with them and leave my menu the way it is now.

Exactly.

Then I'd have to memorize what they each stood for, and what if two categories start with the same letter? Not to mention that would be boring.

Boring, but passable. There will no doubt be better ways, but the way I proposed is a little easy to remember. But hey, to each their own.
