@Tasuki
No problem. It was a part of the Nintendo Direct stuff (that NA got left out of).

@paburrows
I think, if everyone else meant the same thing I did that is, that we're talking about leaving the apps for those things on the main menu and not putting them into a folder.

i'll make a folder for all of the different kind of content and put all the folders in a folder and then put it in the far right bottom corner

I've never known anyone to be so excited (or even just excited) about computer folders...

I used to have a blog link here. I'll put it back up when the blog has something to read.

I will commit Folderception by putting folder inside folder inside folder hopefully slowing down time so i can finally play super mario bros. without dying too much

This will be a good bit of help for me. Especially with all the ambassador games. Probably will sort them by system. Like, folders named, Game boy, GBA, NES, and trailers.

I'm not sure... I kind of like the gigantic wall of fun things that greets me on the menu right now. I'll try categorizing and folder-izing, but part of me doesn't want to give up the crazy toybox feel that my folderless, Ambassador, & download heavy 3DS currently offers.

I feel like this too... Some times I think I spend up most of my time looking at my awesomely crowded menu instead of playing.
I kinda want to put all my downloads (and useless preloaded apps) into diferent folders and enlarge the icons! (I just hope we can change the size of the icons within the folders, too!).

I'd have a folder for each platform/style, Starting with 3DSWare, VC, DSiWare and then a separate folder for the likes of face raiders and stuff. Then I'd keep the most important apps outside the folders, so my menu would look a lot like this:

Shop | GAME | Swapnote | FOLDERS | Camera | Act. Diary | AC Clock (alarm) | Options

Though I'm still having a hard time trying to decide the best order

the problem is the folders can only be named with one lettter.
they said that in the european n-direct and you could see it in that video, too.
so i dont know how to name them. probably just give them numbers or signs.
and i am pretty sure you will not be able to put folders into folders

i will order them system wise:
-GBA (10)
-NES (10)
-DSiware (12 i think)
-virtual console (2 GB games right now)
-videos (10 maybe)
-apps i dont need (music, ds-download, ambassador-program, seetings)
-3ds ware (only ar, face raiders and excitebike 3d yet)
-demos (got all of them^^)

wow that will be a few folders

Same here.
I'll play around with the folders to see how it looks (and I'll probably keep the random trailers and demos in folders), but I like my collection of icons on my home screen and I'll probably end up keeping them there.
It's still nice to have the option of folders there for me though, as my menu seems to not be expanding any further and that gives me a lot more room to work with.

I just hate that it's a freak'n pain to organize anything on the 3DS. Whoever thought it was a good idea to have icons swap positions instead of being moved aside needs to be stomped. >:[

At first I was very excited for this update, but as others have mentioned it is nice to see a huge menu full of stuff. I'll have to wait and see what it's like, and then make my decision then.

Yeah...probably not. Being able to put folders in folders will most likely not be possible. So sorry to dissapoint those who love to misuse the word 'inception'.

Very true.
It's a bit of a pain when I download a new game and I have to move it one spot at a time past my trailers and demos and everything until it's in the right spot.

I'm going to alphabetically order my Folders: Ambassador; DSiWare; VC

It'll be like so: Applications - Ambassador Folder - DSiWare Folder - VC Folder

Applications as my main hub. Then I scroll across with my 3DSWare out on display with the 3 folders next to them... be absolute perfection.

I will put games and demos in one folder (not that much stuff actually). I will put eshop, mii channel, mii plaza, and nintendo video in another. I'll figure out the rest when I actually get the upgrade.
