Topic: Do you turn your 3ds off or leave it in sleep mode?

I'm torn between turning my 3ds off when I'm not using it and leaving it on in sleep mode. I love spotpass and really wanna be able to leave it on 24/7 in sleep like the wii so I can get constant updates but this seems like it would be hard on the battery or something. Nintendo clearly wants you to leave it in sleep 24/7. What do you guys do?

At home turn it off on the street leave it sleep mode wifi on ..its pretty eas for me.

i leave it on sleep mode when i leave, and i turn it off when i go to bed, unless theres and update or some download the next day, then i leave it on during the night

I leave it in sleep mode, unless I'm spending the night in an area without internet, in which case I turn it off.

I do whatever I want to do with it.

I leave mines on the charging deck at home to get poke dex 3d data and on outside for street pass but im in NA unlike japan taking a 3 minute walk with gets you like 5-8 street passes unlike here walking around a entire city dosent even get you 3 street pass so I often keep it off outside.

I leave mine in sleep mode. I only turn it off if Netflix is being a dip to me like it is on my Wii.

in fact, Netflix on my Wii got SO bad I actually had to delete the channel and cease using it there.

Sometimes I leave it on, other times no. By the end of the year, when Nintendo will be pushing content to our 3DS with demos and the like, I'll be leaving my 3DS in sleep mode :3

I turn mine off at night and leave it on during the day from the time I first turn it on. The exception would be if I leve it on during the night for an alarm clock. In that case I try to turn it off for a few hours during the day and give it a break.

Most of the time, I turn my 3DS off when I am not using it.

Always in sleep mode, docked in the charge deck with the wifi turned on.

I couldn't find an alarm function on the 3DS. Do you use Mario clock or something, or am I just not noticing the function?

You're not crazy, there is no alarm clock built into the 3DS. I use the Animal Crossing Clock.

good to hear some other people just leave theirs on. I hope nintendo starts pushing some cool stuff over spotpass this fall.

Just wondering: Who's going to get that Stereo/Clock/Charging Dock for 3DS? It's from Nyko, and I personally trust their products and think it'd be a worthy investment. Has more functions than the charging dock, obviously

I turn it completely off at night when it's charging, in sleep mode with wireless off when I'm in my house, and in sleep mode with wireless on when I'm out doing stuff like going to a store or at school.

I do this too.

Mine refuses to turn off, which means I must always leave it on.
