Turn in off when I'm done with it.

Jesus is the only way.
It's OK to have an opinion. This ain't the Soviet Union you know.

I just leave it on. It's more convenient to me because I can just pick it up, play immediately, then plop it back down into the charge cradle until I want to use it again. Kinda like a phone.

When I close my eyes, I see pixilated blood.

I do both, somewhat randomly. When there's a storm I turn it off to make sure there's some juice left the next day, since I'm not about to leave it charging. However, if I've got a game suspended that I want to pick right back up where I left off, I let it sleep.

If you find yourself spiritually drifting (as I was for far too many years), remember that Jesus can and will walk across the water to reach you and bring you back to shore.

I do it for the same reason. The benefit to turning it off is nothing really unless you're not going to put it in the charge cradle.

Depends, I'll turn it off when I'm at home, if I'm outside I'll put it into sleeep mode for StreetPass and SpotPass. Might change when better stuff is released and there's better videos/updates/releaases to recieve via SpotPass.

I haven't turned it off since the day I got it. Just put it to sleep and place it on the charging cradle at night.

Plain old gamer :)

When I saw Corbs had posted in this thread I thought he would say something like this: "I haven't turned it ON since I got the the black screen of death three times in one hour while trying to perfect every level of Monkey Ball with gyro on" lol

After I get my three Pokedex updates I turn it off for the night. Am I missing something or is there something other than the Pokedex updates that I can receive at home?

I always turn mine off. I've noticed about a 15-20% battery loss when leaving the 3DS in sleep mode overnight.

Won't leaving it in sleep mode for as long as you guys do damage it in the long run or something? I heard something like that about the DS battery.

The manual suggests nothing like that. I treated my PSP and DS the same way with no problems.

I turn mine off when I'm not playing it at home. When I leave the house for a few hours, I put it on sleep mode, case and all in my purse.

Always in Sleepmode sitting in its cradle when im at home and straight in my pocket as I leave the house and back in its cradle when I get back in.
...if im planning a big gaming session like Resident Evil Mercs online I tend to use my old DSi charging cable plugged directly into the 3DS to make sure the juice doesnt run dry while im playing.

@Raptor78 - You do realize you can always remove the charging cradle from the AC adapter and plug it directly into your 3DS, right?

Exactly.

Always off. No 3DS near here, so little lost turning it off. Though I barely managed to get BearShark on the Nintendo Video channel.
