I wonder how long the PAL regions are going to be waiting for this one.
We'll probably get it next year or something. D:

aw this is a good one,no 3d effect but who needs that,it needs 56 blocks for download, its a fun puzzler,so if you a fan of puzzle games where your trying to get rid of blocks, then this is your game.
also its pretty much a snes game, graphics, music and all
edit:also while you playing on one screen,on the other screen a monkey dances...TO THE BOMB IM ABOUT TO THROW!

Bomb Monkey is played while holding the 3DS book style right, is there a left handed option?

I'm reviewing this one, and did not see an option for lefties. Please correct me, anyone, if you find one!

I'm lefty, but since you really don't use the stylus at all in this game (other than selecting your game mode), this game plays comfortably and doesn't need a lefty mode.

I strongly recommend you read the manual, btw. Not because it's particularly helpful, but because it's genuinely hilarious.

I'm also left handed, though really only for writing, for everything else I seem to be able to use left or right - but like others have said, it might be a bit awkward to hold, but you don't need both hands at once. You can easily play the game 1 handed. Also if you have someone to play with, play as second player and you can use your left hand easily to play, since second player uses "B A X" to control and looks at the top screen.

ALSO: Definitely checking out the manual now. Does the Mutant Mudds manual contain humour as well? I never thought to look at the game manuals for anything!

AN ADDITIONAL ALSO: My new favourite quote is "Left is the new down!". Words to LIVE BY.

So is this the first 3DS game that has absolutely no 3D in it, like not even on the title screen before you turn it sideways or anything? It's just I'm kind of shocked they would allow any new software for a 3D gaming device that doesn't have 3D in it, and for such a simple game, why not release it as DSiWare so DSi owners can buy it too?

NWR gave it an 8/10.

They said it's not the most inventive puzzler out there, but it's solidly built and fun.

What they really didn't like:

  • Lack of online leaderboards
  • All game modes are same-y (their thoughts, not mine)

What they loved:

  • Multiplayer is the best on eShop.

Currently Playing:
Switch - Blade Strangers
PS4 - Kingdom Hearts III, Tetris Effect (VR)

That's a very good question! Based on what I've seen of DSiWare games, I don't know if that development kit would be able to look as nice as this game does. I know the game has minimal graphics, but they're very smooth and colorful, which I've noticed isn't necessarily present on even some of the nicest DSiWare games.

Even some games I think look very nice and use minimal graphics, like the Art Style games, are noticeably different in appearance from Bomb Monkey.

Also, the manual has 3D .

Mad Dog McCree is the first 3DS downloadable game that has 100% zero 3D. "Now go get 'em, Stranger!"

iphys

I guess maybe it's because DSiWare games aren't played at their native resolution on the 3DS, so they would have had to release it as 3DS software to look its best on 3DS.

I don't know what they were thinking allowing Mad Dog McCree on the 3DS: it was bad enough on the Wii.

I just bought the game and have played it for about an hour. It is easily as addictive as tetris, if not more. I love playing "rescue". Great, great game!!

Some of my favorite games:
Ghost Trick, StarFox 64, WarioLand: Shake It, Kid Icarus, The Legendary Starfy, Endless Ocean: Blue World, Zelda: Minish Cap, Pokemon Snap, Diamond Trust of London, Gyromite, Katamari Damacy, EarthBound, Mario Kart 7, and Sonic Generations(PS3).
